Man, you guys are tough! Yeah, I know I've been milking this cowl thing, but the CNC stuff is all new to me. It's a fun project and I'm finally catching on with the help from a few other threads. I managed to save 1.5" of end mill extension with it layed back on an angle. Not sure why I didn't think of that before. Just glued up some MDF for take two!! Chris, I'm only a one man (after 6pm) operation! Lol. I'm getting there. The next part will be the base with the top contour. I think I will machine a recess into it to drop the body/turbine section. Can't think of any other way of machining it without removing TONS of material. Any thoughts?
For the record, I was referencing those actually paying you.... LOL You already know how what I think about your ventures.... The work your doing is awesome, and I am jealous!

No problem Pete, I know almost nothing about CnC. Although it is in the plans for my shop soon.
Top coat is finished. Baked it on in the oven for about 30min.
Then I started to get carried away and sanded with 1500, 2000, and polished one of the boats. I'm officially out of this business. Just takes way too long and I went through on a few spots that will need to be touched up. Shines like mad though...and it feels like gelcoat.
Do you open the windows and leave for the duration?

At this point I don't care how my paint looks. If it just stays put that will be just fine with me. My clear took the better part of 5 days to get truly hard.
