I run 10,000mah currently, but I always overdo it. I like to have 40% left in the tank at the end, so I think the 8300 would suffice for a race. Those look like nice batts.

Technically, I think you could run this boat in Q. There is only a maximum length, not minimum for electric. In our club, the water gets a bit rough during the Q races since the pond is so small, so slightly longer and wider would definitely benefit. The boat is currently sized between an LSH and Q.... pretty much right in the middle.

Our last race with Toms boat I was carting 8000mah.

As stable as your P boat is I'll bet you would be competitive in Q with it.

Just sharpened up an X447/3. Also have a 447, 547, and 448! In the box! Are you guys running zero timing with this motor?

D - The longer motor fits!

              D wind - they say 0 to 5 degrees
any timing in a D wind just causes heat and does NOT increase RPM
I like 1 degree timing - just enough to avoid cogging.

I think that was my LSH that you were playing around with.
You have done a very nice job on that hull.
It has got me thinking on changing a few of my mod's on my next one.

Larry, that was you? I always thought it was Zola. Whoever it was, that was a damn fast LSH. Almost kept up with me at full P!

                  Another kit out the door!

Building a 'quicky'. Hope to have this done in 2wks. Want to try some changes. Although it looks very cool, I'm going to forgo the 'drop nose' and see if it improves low speed handling/planing ability. A few other minor tweaks as well.

John - Let me know exactly what clear coat you used. It turned out great over the wood. Thanks.

I'm not starting this until the season is over. Don't want to be tempted to rush it. I have every intention of heat racing this at 70mph. It will likely be a hybird of what Pete has already developed and the sponsons from my Tide tank. Combined it should be a beast.

I would love to see 70mph! Mine is @ 65 and I've yet to blowover even in race water, so I don't doubt 70 is in the realm of possibility. It's a bit longer and wider than most P Sports.

                          Update. Framing just about done.

Pre-forming the skins with the heat gun again.

This boat will be on the water at our next race in 10days! Running out of time!
