My whip is all 1/32 skin too. My 34" Wildthing was 1/16 ply. The 27" Wildthing is 1/32 bulkhead and stringers.

If I wanted to run one of these on limited power I wouldn't worry about 1/32 ply at all. The most vulnerable spot is actually the deck scallop shape trailing the sponson at the deck. If someone picks it up from there they can tear like paper. I doubled up on the Oberto at that location.
    Noisy person

Here is what the hatch buck will look like. The fuselage sits in the center recess area prior to forming. I wanted to reduce the amount of machining and this is the only way I could think of. Going to run it on the CNC tonight after work. Probably be burning the midnight oil again!

Three hours and 157,000 lines of code later.....

I thought I changed the stepover to 20%, but it was still at 10%! Long night.

Showed photo to wife. Response was 'oooooooooo, who made those pacman ghosts??'

I said I wasn't going to finish the paint on the second boat, but I couldn't help myself. 1500 wetsand, 2000 wetsabd, 3M perfect-it polishing compound. Best finish I've ever achieved. Very happy with this.

I hit all of the bucks with Klasskote primer this afternoon and sanded them with 400 a few minutes ago. None of them have been baked (unless you count the 5 hours in the sun today!), but I'm going to try to pull some parts from them late tomorrow night (after work) using talcum powder as a release agent. They far from perfect, but I have a day job!!!

Man Pete, that thing looks like a Fiberglass boat from the outside! When I get mine done I'm gonna send it to you for finishing then I'll just stripe it when you're done!

Thanks guys. Mostly Catia and Cut3D software. The finishing of the paint only took about 2-3hours from 1500, 2000, to final polish.

So I think I made a small error that may end up costing me a re-do of one of the bucks. The radius that is made with the vacuum formed sheet takes a little sidewall height off the cockpit pc. This height reduction may cause a gap when it is installed. Have to check later tonight. One fix might be just to remove the fuselage and lower it into the hatch a little bit.

Removed the fuselage late last night, shaved about 1.5mm of material from the bottom, and re-glued. Back to sanding. Will hit it with Klasskote again later tonight. Will need to add small holes along the radii for air flow.

All of the molds got another paint job tonight. Also, I drilled a hole in the motor mount for the water inlet to the motor jacket.

Shrinkage of catalized paints when curing can cause thin sheet plastic/fiberglass to warp...especially if paint is sprayed too thick. It can take as long as 30 days for some catalized paints to cure and shrink. I taped my hatch down flat against hull to prevent curling up of flat area near stern.
