So here are the latest results. The bottom nose pc and cockpit are coming out great, but the fuselage is obviously a disaster. The plastic is sealing on the flat portion of the hatch prior to forming the fuselage and scoop. I've requested some professional help from Phil (vacu-boats), and he's offering some solutions. Shouldn't be long now.

OK. Drilled some holes in the fuselage mold last night. These 6" aircraft bits are nice (and cheap too!). It will also need some sanding, especially near the scoop. It is a lot rougher than the others.
Spending time with the wife this weekend rather than this nonsense. I'll get back on it next week.Attached FilesComment

You're spending a lot of time on something that's just going to get run over and destroyed during a raceGrand River Marine Modellers

What about re-positioning your molds. Looks like you are trying to make the plastic span the outside pieces over the fuselage on your machine. Maybe form the fuselage mold by itself?? Just a thought.Comment

Hi Jr. I think you'll get a better idea of what was going on when you see the next couple photos. The fuselage pretty much has to be part of the hatch and the plastic was sealing on the flat face.
The first cockpits were curing last night. I was up until 1:00am!!Attached FilesComment

OK. Getting late again. Finally finished. I'm still not happy with how much I had to drop the fuselage into the hatch to compensate for the radius of the cowl, but this is good for now. Looks pretty good! :)
