One of water inlets just runs through ESC. The other inlet comes into and then out of motor mount cooling nipples and then into and out of cooling jacket. I can not turn that mount with it installed on motor to save my life. When I bench test it for water flow it comes out pretty strong. I will monitor it and temps as I do first couple of runs. Thx for always answering my newb questions Lenny.....

      Ok.
      Just a heads ups,
A little soapy water in the nipples should let the jacket o rings and jacket turn if worked and moved a bit.

The water line you have coming in to the mount,
Should go into the bottom water jacket nipple first.
Than out the top of the jacket nipple than to the mount and out to exit port.
      ? ONLY IF THEY WORK

First run went ok. Ran it for about 3 mins and as hard as I could in my canal. Brought it in but couldn't find temp gauge. Motor seemed a little hot so stopped after that. Boat seemed like it was down in water and a lot of spay coming off not just back but sides of boat also. I'm sure I have some adjustments to make.

I found some water in hull again and found it leaking thru sponson. Pulled noodle out of right sponson and was good amount of water in there. I looked closely and saw there is a crack along seam of sponson.
        image.jpg

Can anyone suggest how to seal that seam. I cant really fit my hand up in there from inside, can I just seal it on outside with epoxy or something? Thx Jeff

You sure its open, it's the seam, can you get FG tape: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXK254&P=SM in there ? I did something like that, wet it with epoxy and use some wood stick to patch it on as best as you can.

Yes the seam is definitely separated. If I put pressure on it u can see its split along seam for about 3 inches

Hey Tim while repairing sponson I also noticed my shim on turn fin was not good. Water coming in the one inside bolt that didn't go thru the shim. What was the other alternative to shimming it? Bend the turn fin itself or the turn fin bracket? Thx Jeff

I put a small bead of epoxy along seam. Was trying not to mess up new airbrushing as much as I could. Hoping it works.....

if your angle is already good, don't mess around with it!!!
I use silicone sealant to seal, but that stuff is no good if you plan to paint later. Use Plumber's putty to seal all holes that fasteners go thru the hull.
You need to beef up the sponson from inside, wet the tape, have somebody hold the hull tip pointing down the floor, carefully slap the tape in position, use stick or bent brush to "push and nudge" the epoxy soaked tape to position.

My hull came with a re-inforcement plate already epoxied inside hull there.

Where? at the turn fin mounting point or are you referring to the sponson seams?

No inside hull where turn fin mounts

OK, so is it tapped aluminum plate or just reinforcement and you are still using machined screw? I always dab silicone sealant in the holes before inserting the bolt into them, also I will generally put some between the mounting surface---note that this practice is not prefered by some people. Plumber's Putty is highly recommended by those who dislike silicone.
Does your bracket mount flush with the heel with the shim? it should, because you need to be careful not to tighten too much the screws to put undue pressure on the hull. In that case fabricate another shim. I personally dislike the bending of the blade because you will change the straightness of the blade, IMO.

OK, for some reason your picture did not show until now, that is the same piece of wood TFL put in there.
Are you using machined screws with nylon lock nut? Also don't forget flat washers.

No it looks like its a piece of epoxied wood in there. I couldn't get shim right so just put turn fin right to hull. I did silicone holes like you said. Going to try it like this tommo. If the boat seemed to be riding down in the water shud I adjust the rigger slightly?

Yes, Doby suggested to raise the strut blade as much as the long hole will allow. I was afraid at first with the possibility of blow over but he knows what he is talking about. My latest run was adjusted that way. He elongated the hole more and I think I am headed to that direction as well.
