Thx for those pics Tim. They will be extremely helpful when I go to mount stuffing tube. Yes I have the 40x50 jacket for my Leopard. I think I will route one line into ESC and then out the side. Then run other line into motor jacket and out the other side. Im not going to use cooling on the motor mount either....Jeff

Hey Chris, so how does the routing of your water lines go exactly? Thx Jeff

Also Ive read both these threads trying to get prop info. From what I gathered this seems to be most recommended prop? Thx Jeff

Why would you not use the cooling mount if it is already installed? Even if the efficiency is low it will still remove heat. I just don't see the downside. Several years ago I couldn't find a non-cooled mount so I installed a cooled mount in my PLSH. Been running it with the motor jacket for three years with no cooling issues even in hot Texas summers.

The x547 prop works with the specified motors, cells and water. It may or may not work as well with different components.

I have a Leopard 4074-2150kv Im using for my Popeye. In reference to the cooling lines you are saying not to use my water jacket on motor but to use the water cooling in the mount instead? Thx Jeff

No you should use them both the mount and jacket for cooling the motor,
And you need to find the right props for the setups that you will be running.
Also for the style of running you will be doing to.

I don't want to hyjack the respomse, but that is NOT what Fluid meant, he is saying that you should use it even though the efficiency may not be that great.
I totally agree, as I said before, if I have the dual pich up, I would be using it too.
In my opinion it depends on the volume of the pick up. If it is sufficiently satisfying, then I would use it, I just don't want this to restrict the rate of flow. I realize it will give, however small the amount may be , some cooling benefits.

Im getting lost now on how to route the cooling lines. Im using dual pickup rudder with lines coming in transom like the pic of Chris Popeye below. How will cooling lines go once they both come in thru transom? Thx Jeff

Tim is that half a mixing cup you have in boat to stop grease from splattering from flex cable?

Take one, plug into the ESC on one end, then attach tubing to the outlet of the ESC and exit the boat somewhere.

Then, take the other and plug into motor jacket, then attach tubing to the outlet of the jacket and exit the hull somewhere.

You can see in this pic that Chris is using both the cooling mount and the water jacket. Just cant see how all his lines run inside hull. Jeff

It really doesn't matter all that much, just keep them out of the way of other things. You are sweating this way to much.

So Im trying to order a S/B prop. Im going to use my Leopard 4074-2150kv and have a bunch of 2s1p 45-90c 5000mah lipos. Should I order the y547 or is there a better prop I should try. I have a L40x57 3 that's sharpened and balanced. Thx Jeff

I'd get the Y547 it should work ok with the 4074. You know you're going to run two of those packs at a time wired in series to make 4s Right?
