Any one built their Popeye to run on a 6s setup,or am I the only one? wondering how a a Y547 would run on 6s with the TP 4050 1450KV the calcs looking like it should be around 60mph, if it stay on the water long enought.

Most everybody is building this to run P classes and P is a 4s max so that's why you don't see many on 6s. I've been just a little above 60 on my 4s setup but not consistantly. That was with the hull mod and I'm still tuning.

Hull will be here tommo. Is there a thread anywhere on here about installing stuffing tube? Its only part that's got me worried! All other boats Ive had came with tube installed. Tim gave me these pics to help with location of tube which will really help but a little unsure how to start and then drill stuffing tube hole. Thx Jeff

A little advise, since you're mounting everything from scratch, mount the motor about 1 1/2" futher forward than in that pic. We've been having trouble getting the CG far enough forward that should help a bunch! Then mount your batteries crossways in front of the motor.

JB Weld is the adhesive of choice for most people.

Be sure to scuff up the outside of the tube and the hull where the JB weld will be applied. I use an 80 grit sandpaper for that.

Before drilling, measure 20 times to be sure.

Mount the strut to the transom so it can help support the stuffing tube while the JB weld is drying.

Pick a drill bit that's close to the size of the tube, but keep in mind you will be drilling on and angle, not at 90 degrees to the hull.
