For FE, we use stainless bicycle spokes as pushrods. Since one end is threaded, we can connect a clevis and use it on the servo side. The other unthreaded end goes thru a linkage stopper such as this:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...%5Fset%5F.html
For gas boats and if the pushrod is long - a 1/8" diameter aluminum rod that has to be DIY and you gotta have a tap and die tool to do the work. The least I would use is the sullivan 4-40 threaded ends with accompanying 4-40 dubro or sullivan metal clevis.
Our typical gas rudder hardware comes with a linkage stopper similar to the hobbyking link above, but I still need to rebore the pushrod hole of the linkage stopper to accept the 4-40 size pushrod. For this, those special carbide tips that can be used with a Dremel is most useful.Comment

I saw these 3-3/4" star trek figures in a nearby mall earlier selling for 40cents each - so I got 5 of them! Lol!
I think the scale is usable for the funboat - what say you?Comment

(Beam me up Scotty) hahaha,, humm i dont no i kinda like it with no poeple on it,, Arent they going to fly off when you engauge ''Worp Drive''Comment

Yeah, figures may be good for taking pics or slowly running scale boats but it seems they'll just be thrown overboard in a gas boat hehehe!Comment

Not much going on this side of the world but rains almost everyday for the past week - I didnt even go boating last Sunday due to rains as I dont mix together well with it.
It would've been nice to do a project while indoors but I finished most of it last week - with the repaired Cat and a yacht topper for my fun boat which are just waiting for my worker's vacancy, there's nothing much in my plate these days.
I know Stephen is rebuilding his gas engine & have recently ordered parts for it - while I have already ordered parts for my upcoming gasser cat, so not much activity for us down here.
Maybe I should re-do my MG this week - run it on 6s! hahahaha!Comment
