WOW!!!!! Running with the GREAT Andy!!!!! You're such a lucky guy! We're just telling the new guys at the pond who are running China boats how great AC boats are and they should consider getting AC's. While you're running with him!
What did Andy said about the Komodo? Any suggestions on how to improve it more?
How are you and mac doing ?
Ok I hope,
Did he ever get his 40"v running yet ?
Sorry Bud! I missed your post. I'm doing okay. Thanks! I haven't seen Mac for months now but we spoke a couple of weeks ago for more than an hour. I can say he's doing fine. Just busy with his work, that keeps him from going to the pond on Sundays.

He suggested toning down the speed a bit and keeping the nose down,I personally think it grabs too much air at these speeds.I'll try to go 5s and keep it planted next time out.May get the stinger a bit more negative. Then I may change the tunnel entry a bit.
He sure is fun to run with, not afraid of getting close and just like a little kid having fun. LOL.
A friend of mine who makes gas boat hulls is gonna try one of his 52" carbon fiber cat and will go FE. We would appreciate any suggestions on what to rig this boat with and test it to the limits. A discussion has been started and pls. feel free to chime in with you take on this. Thanks!
I don't know how to start sanding the hull and the materials to use
Ok,I should have my web back in a couple of days. So Ed,you wondering about the sanding for blueprtinting? Or sanding the body? Either one will be : start with 320 wetsand,go to 400 wetsand, then 600 wetsand. You can go more but I usually don't. If blueprinting, use a block and check frequently for level. You can coat some "glazing putty" to build the hollow spots. A tedious process but worth it.Then when happy, spray a heavy coat of tremclad white on and let harden(cure) for a few days to a week. Scuff with scotch brite before run.
