There is always some racing going on around here.

There is the Northern Lights Model Boat Club that runs at Alliston, ON and the GRMM (Grand River Marine Modellers) that fun runs at a flood control pond in Cambridge. GRMM Pres. is trying to find a better pond

Sunday is a big meeting at NLMBC and I'll know after if there is a big race this summer at the London Ontario pond, nice drivers stand and permanent booeys. It's a beautiful pond with lots of hotels nearby but, no camping amenities. Just a porta-potty and someone like Tom selling water & pop etc...

    I'll keep you posted.

            Hey Mac,
Have you ever seen any of these boats run and do you think their any good.

I may have a deal on one pretty cheap.

Don't waste your money with those crap Lenny! A group of boaters near our pond who runs those boats from China only got headaches than fun! Crappy engines, crappy hulls that cracks under pressure! The manufacturer just made them look fancy with those anodized alloy parts and paint-jobs. Those guys learned it the hard way and now they run US made hulls with Zenoah or RCMK engines.

Trust me it's crazy, but fun at the same time. Hey, if I can't enjoy it what's the point right?

To be honest, I'm a little intimidated with the work I need to do on the pads underneath and in possibly removing the wood inside to re-enforce with fiberglass
