The Fightercat standoff would be the strongest yet allow the use of a break away screw.DON'T FORGET BREAKAWAY SCREWS

And on the thread that discusses this new addition it is mentioned that they should make a 36" twin Geico.Just thought I'd mention it here Mac.

first of all, thank you macdon & srislash and everyone else for clearing things up for me, things are starting to make more sense. hull arrives tomorrow. got the motor in today, she's a bute!

srislash, when you say these are stronger than stock, do u mean the FC are stronger or did you mean the one that macdon bought from r2hobbies as well?

is this the one i should get from fc and how is fitment with the mg transom holes? macdon says his r2hobbies fit perfectly

              Hi Ed,

Since your hull is arriving, lets wait for it and once its there you can measure the mounting holes and Im sure Shawn can accommodate you with the mounting hole dimensions of his.
Anyway, feel free to choose a strudder that you will feel comfortable in using and if it doesnt match the mounting holes of the hull - you can plug those holes and make new ones. Chances are they're pretty standard, but things can go slightly different as well.

Dont let the stock mounting holes affect your hardware choice - you can easily take that out of the equation by plugging the holes and working on a clean slate.

For one thing, you can also consider the stock MG strudder - just add the ose offset standoffs and you're good to go. It perfectly fits the mounting holes and you dont have to add a short copper stuffing tube to join them together. I dont think there were issues on the strength of the stock MG hardware.

The only issue however is that if you will elect a slightly bigger flex shaft - will it still fit the stock strut. The guys here could probably answer this for you.

Jason - awesome paintjob and awesome MG. Your boat is as fast as it looks!

Ed - you really made this thread more active than usual, so thanks! Heck, I should've sold you my MG hull and hardware instead, eh? hahahaha Eliminates some problems.

Shawn - for some reason I cant see PB's website in my MBP, but I saw it in my iPad. So the same MG hull is now colored red and called Blackjack? Just some new electronics but same MG hull? So now the turbine canopy can fit that as well? hahahaha!

So where would this new red painted blackjack boat be categorized in ose - under MG or BJ? hehehe

And Stephen, just tell me what you want for thickness and strength. How many layers of CF and such. The sheet I made for my Shocker mounts would probably stop bullets.
