There's no such thing as having too many boats - ask Lenny! hahahahahaha!

I think Im gonna fast track the 37" Cat - winter is too far away! My worker said yesterday he needs 3- 4 days more to work on the cat before it gets molded .......... a week to fully complete the molds and to produce the first product! Who's game?
You know I gotta get that 37" Cat out before I finish this Vee - March is the start of summer here in Manila, so windy & choppy waters for a few months - I need a bit bigger vee to handle that or just use the gas boat always. Nope, gotta have a FE that could handle chop - now!

I also havent done a vee yet, so Im curious ..............nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Nothing set in stone yet - all I know is it will be 40" long, 25 degree v angle or dead rise and about 3" freeboard.
There is that desire in me to run boats that kinda resembles a real boat which I guess is the same desire as running sleek, space-ship looking DF boats and it variants.
However, when DF looking boats are abundant everywhere around you - its refreshing to try something new.

Oh our gas mentor was running a sleek 29" DF last sunday in chop, caught a wave and dove down like a sub ........... it didnt re-surface. Hopefully, it will be recovered soon. My mini deep vee took 3 weeks underwater before it was recovered.

I cannot afford it ............ but would be perfect for a cig boat, eh?

                        For gas engines, right?

Yikes, in the pic below it seems it requires 2 of those outdrives!

Alright Mac, this just hit me! You want a cig type boat and you mentioned outdrives. Well, I know you have at least 4 4S lipos, 4 T-120's, a REK Outdrive, 2 1,900kv motors, some bits and pieces of parts! Now, why don't you build your 40" cig boat with twin outdrives? you have matching motors, esc's, lipo packs etc. All I see that you need so far is another REK outdrive! imagine a 40" electric boat that you can run even on choppy waters with twice the power to pull it! Is that a good dare for yah mate? That's just like the Geico service boat you just posted with twin outdrives!

How about you guys? what's your take on this idea? hehehe! This should be fun eh!?

That's what I'm kickin around a nice twin scale fastish hull. The next time I'm in my buds shop I'll take a pic of the other hull I like.

Mardon,I have a post in another thread in regards to scale outdrives and I haven't seen anything else.Nothing smaller. I may have to do something about this.Hehe

The larger MHz z-drives cannot holdup to much power. I love the looks of mine but resisted putting a mod motor in it because I don't want to blow it up. They do look really cool!
