3/8" worth of threads, no loctite just lock washer. Checked them after my runs, haven't budged. Just make sure you crank em down good.

      Polishing

Polished everything up to a mirror finish, already notice a small boost in performance :) (Stock props in box)

That's a cool photo! I hope to get a gps soon too. Perhaps you can post a video of that bad boy?

I am sorry if I posted things that went wrong on stock Zelos 36. I thought that's what this thread is about, not only mods to boat and out come, but to make alert of problems that can happen and how to correct it.

Call it what you will but. A lil blue locktite serves me well. Dropping $50 props with tons of time in them into the unknown depths is no bueno.

I've been trying to load a 19 second video of the new props in action but it says invalid file type. I'll try from my laptop tonight.

Yup, I cry a little inside every time I pull the trigger and boat goes nowhere. lol. I start calculating in my head, there goes another 20-30 bucks plus S&H plus 3-4hrs of S&B.

Use loctite. I only run a bullet with a dab of loctite on all my cables and I've never lost a prop

SHAFT CORRECTION.jpgwell add me to the " to much in a rush stupid list ". I ruined the stock right flex shaft do to greasing and installing wrong, as in (L) (R) expanded the cable. Wondered why I lost speed. have new shafts from ose only because they are a little longer at the threaded end so bigger props are no problem. Here is a example I made to help people that get confused on the way (L) and (R) shafts work.wrong.jpgcorrect.jpgTHIS IS INCORRECT, NEW POST SHOWS CORRECT WAY

It also depends on what way your props are turning. Are yours setup to turn inward or outward?

Thanks , took a few hours per prop. I use a fine rubber sand disc for my dremel to get the "Chrome" look then buff again with buffing wheel and compound and finally autosol for brilliant shine
