well finally my two babies from cordova came in today.they r 4 inches long and 1.6 inches in diameter. they r just somewhere around 3000 kv as i am not allowed to disclose the exact kv as jose has asked me not to due to them being a custom hand wound one off special.they will both be running on 8s for a combined total of 16s and the motors each on 8s will produce 12hp each for a combined total of 24hp.they should end up reving in the insane world of over 85 000 rpm. i have alot of custom made parts for this boat machied that i have not posted pics yet but the build should start in roughly a week cause i have surgery tomorrow. i have all parts needed to complete the build i just need about a good week to finish it after i get my health back.i just thought i would share these with you and i will post pics along when the build starts.thanks for looking and wish me luck.i will need it.lol

Timing is set at the optimal setting for a delta wound motor. People have raised the timing to get over 70, but they end up smoking the motors, especially with props larger than stock. Its a trade off, if you raise the timing, you need to prop down, even smaller than stock. Most of the voltage at the motor will be converted to heat instead of power, and your batteries will be stressed beyond their limit.
The motors only make 500 watts each. Close to 70 swinging props much larger than what the motors were even intended to swing, and still not having burned one up, is very impressive, IMO. If you want more RPM, swap out to 4 pole Y wound motors. Then you would get more RPM and be able to run 17* of timing.
Your limitation right now is the motors, IMO.Zelos 36 stock 68 mphComment

Just for the record in back to back testing, 7.5* timing was the fastest in my boat. Just so you guys know.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

I'm not going to start on him again because it looks like his tone has changed so I'll roll with that. Anyway, 3000kv on 4 cells is enough rpm to put a boat over 100mph. 8s would result in a smoke show guaranteed. And with the problems I've seen on YouTube with the Cordova motors slinging apart, I think 85k rpm is just a fantasy. I can't wait to see the results of this endeavor.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

well add me to the " to much in a rush stupid list ". I ruined the stock right flex shaft do to greasing and installing wrong, as in (L) (R) expanded the cable. Wondered why I lost speed. have new shafts from ose only because they are a little longer at the threaded end so bigger props are no problem. Here is a example I made to help people that get confused on the way (L) and (R) shafts work.
I am very surprised no-one else has said anything about this post.
The first picture the one that says WRONG WAY is the CORRECT WAY that you want your shafts and props for inward prop direction (top of props turn inward toward each other.
If you run your props turning inward with your shafts the way that the second picture is ; you shafts will start to unwind and cause binding within the shaft tubes,
= High AMP's = BURNT equipment.
If you want to run your props turning outwards (top of the props turn to the outside of the boat) - set your shafts like the second picture. Remember to reverse the motors.

Looks like a person has to go through RAWSTEELE to get a Cordova motor. So he says...Nortavlag Bulc
