Also to add. These are surface running prop setups. Meaning at speed only one blade is in the water. Most full size boats even cats dont use this. Anyone feel free to correct me.....

Actually many offshore boats run true surface drives, and others will run semi-submerged with just the top of the prop arc above the surface.

I went through a couple other threads, and yes you right Rafael did say that at testing it seemed to run more stable with inward turning props. When I tested it with outward turning props, I wasn't racing, so perhaps in turns it can be worse, however in the straights, it no longer porpoised so I was able to stay on full throttle and gain some mph. With the transom being lifted ver's, pulled down.

I just put it out there for newer Zelos owners that are having a hard time keep it down w/o adjusting struts

I have a question for you guys that knows electric. I'm running 4x 3s bats, and the harnesses are long in order to plug them in ( have stock ones from proboat), I know amp draw x length of wire increases heat. If I shorten connectors the amps will drop, the bats will run cooler. will I gain speed, or just run cooler?

Actually the full size cats run with the prop shaft a fair amount above the bottom. In versus out depends on the boat but in most cases the full size boats turn them in for transom lift and out for better handling. Turning a surface prop in to the undisturbed water from the tunnel creates transom lift on full size cats. Same is true for the offshore race V's.

here is what I was going off of, when deciding what prop direction is best "for me"

I've picked up speed by using shorter wires

thanks kfxguy for the wire response. I know it will run cooler, and if you keep things cooler you either run faster or longer or both
thanks again, did you shortened the bats wires or just the harness?

The idea is.. Every length of wire has a certain resistance (ohm). So the shorter the wire the less resistance.
