Hey guys, I have searched and couldn't find the info, but what is the tallest battery that will fit into the bow of the Zelos 36? I plan on ordering batteries that are 39.5mm tall as long as they will fit into the bow past the hatch opening.

    Thanks!

I'm running 6s Revo Graphenes and I believe those are the limit. They won't go under the bow.

Right around 34-35mm max. Im running packs that are 27mm, not much room.

Was it tighten too much? If there is such a thing? I swapped my cables around but haven't had the chance to test it out.

You swapped the cables around? Did you reverse the motors too? If you swap the cables and not the motor polarity you'll unravel the cables.

I asked that this thread not be a center for problems but I see this is still going on. I created it for mods and results only.

Hey Travis, I haven't done that yet but will do before taking it out. Is there any other way to identify what cable belongs where. Man I got a headache looking at those cables turning them inward. One spell they look like they are spiraling down and the next it's spiraling up.

edit: just saw your request. Will post troubleshooting and issues elsewhere. Thanks

I don't know if this will help you visualize how to tell which way a cable goes, but they should always be spun to where they tighten up and not want to uncoil. They should always spin to where the grease is pulled down to the strut too. After you grease it up and install everything, when you give it throttle for a could seconds and if grease comes out inside the boat, then you have them backwards. Once you understand the twisting them tight idea, you'll understand why they have to twist a certain way in order to not trash the stuffing tube or liner. The drive cable grows in diameter if installed backwards the more torque you put through it.

                    42 mm 3 blade CNC

Took it out today and she rips! A lot better acceleration and top speed, temps didn't increase as much as I thought. Tested 4 seperate times after some good runs. Safe temps on all stock. Round filed out the water intakes and found it made a great difference, water streamed constant from the ports. Very pleased today. Only cost me $80 for props, bullets and lock washers. With added extra lift I'm going to shift some battery weight foward. Can't wait to hit the lake with it.

Exactly which props and what were the tepratures of the esc, motors, batteries, etc. Those bullets look great.

Thanks, I love the bullets. They are OSE 42mm CNC 3 blades one left rotation of course. Paired with OSE 10-32 thread bullets with single lock washer (combination fits perfect on stock shafts) didn't have my temp gun with me but I did six almost full throttle runs (would flip if I pinned it) and brought it in quickly to "feel" temps on motor and esc. Esc were barely warm, motors were warm but could hold my fingers on them with ease and the batteries weren't hot in the slightest (4x onyx 5400mah 50c 3cells )
The water sputtered out the ports originally, filing them out thourouly with a hobby round file (which fit perfect) really helped with water flow. I'm sure that helped immensely on temps. Will bring the temp gun out and record next run and share. It's hard to pick props but I am very pleased with these for $24.99 each. She blasts out the hole, I think the difference in prop weight alone kept the temps down. The stock 2 blade stainless are much thicker and heavier compared to these aluminum ones which are pretty thin! They aren't the best looking finish with file marking and stuff but at least they had them in stock! The stock stainless is a lot nicer material once polished. The aluminum is a little fragile, I dropped one from chest height to my tile floor and it bent the tip, fixed it though.

P.s it was sick hot out and water was grossly warm in the river ..

Haven't got a gps yet. But is definitely faster both bottom and top end compared to stock (sharpened and polished)

Are u using loctite or thread lock on your bullets? All props I've lost were due to bullets. Either way it looks great!

I prefer to use bulltets on top of a locknut assuming there are enough threads. Not enough threads for both, no bullet.
