I have a spare hatch you can try out and see if it fits any better before you start drilling.

My 2 cents on this hatch chat. I LOVE that with stock screws that it keeps water out with out using hatch tape. I been upside down for 8 to 10 minutes or more, and very, very little water leaked in, if any. Unless you like taping hatch down all the time, wouldn't mater much on the 4 corner attachments. I would keep it stock, and/or better. Just my 2 cents.

After picking KFXguy"s brain on his tool used to get the motor mount tight I have came up with a solution I wanted to share with whoever is having a hard time getting them tight with 2.5mm L wrenches. I use a 1/4 inch flex ratchet, with 1/4 inch socket with a 2.5mm Allen bit in the socket. It works Awesome!!! See picture

Struts were set at 2mm gap (4mm gap is the recommended stock setting)

I took both motors out to make sure they were aligned straight with shafts and they were. The shafts slide in very easy and line up good. Motor mounts are very tight also and haven't moved. This was the first run with this boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I posted a response on RCG already Move your motor mounts back and cut your liners back to the end of the stuffing tube to create a larger gap between the collet and brass stuffing tube.

My work on the inside of the hull is done.Fully reinforced with 2x 160g carbon almost up in the front of the nose and the sides also and a third piece only on top of the tunnel from the back to almost the last electronics tray mount,i removed all of the mounts( which on my hull was a really pain because they used so much glue from the factory) unfortunately i couldn't the motor mounts at least not with out doing damage to the hull so i left them there.Resin with chopped CF in the nose tips and the front join, where the stingers mount is also fully reinforced and i glue the nuts in there so when you need to remove and remount the stingers is a 2 min job now with out the need to use the 5.5mm socket drive any more.I used an extra 70g resin at the end to cover any imperfections on the inlay and because i like that glassy finish, need to sand it now to make it smooth but kinda cba now maybe some time in the future will do.Overall the hull is solid as a rock now and i dont have to worry anymore about flips and stuff especially when the motors and escs are going to be replaced which the strength will be needed!

Blew a motor this morning. Debating a new motor/esc setup or a new boat at this point. Had it in series (73mphPeakGps). Abc1915s. Upgraded shafts. Is it time to move into something bigger with heavier electronics or use the zelos and crank it up in electronics and dial in the timing, etc...

Ive read this whole forum over the course of a few months. Any updated information/recommendations would be highly appreciated.

I think someone else was wanting to run those props a while back and I recommended against it. Guess we know why now lol.

DannyD... Didn't you bow a motor last summer? Was it with the same props? Where do you run your boat? I'm always looking for good spots.

okay, then someone was posting with your username last august and blew up a motor in your boat! I run mostly near O'Hare. Been meaning to check out the reservoir in Midlothian eventually.
