RETRIEVE BOAT ISSUE RESOLVED. SATURDAY IS A GO.

RCHIPPIE to the rescue! He is going to strap our retrieve boat on top his car! Way to go Mike!!

Our new replacement trolling motor came in also. Mike is gonna pick it up. Three cheers for the Hippie!

The following are going but we need more to make it worth the retrieve guy's time!

      Ray
      Hugh
      Mike S
      ?
      Who else!? Bill?

My car is in the shop and is down for the count. I may not be able to be there Saturday because of that. BUMMER

I agree we need to switch off to more than once a month! The lake in Pinellas Park may still be an option. We could run there one week and at akerman one week.

PLEASE POST HERE IF YOU WILL BE GOING! I'll also do a broadcast email to our members. If you don't receive an email tonight, please post here so I can add you to the email list. It should be up to date but ya nevah gno!

Just so happens that one of them gave me a business card (and I finally found it). Pete Forcier, but have a feeling they may have gone back to NY by now since it has a Horseheads NY address on it.

PS yeah I should be there but will probably be 11:00 or so before I get there. One of my jet friends is wanting to get a video of his big (probably 40 lbs) F-16 turbine so he can youtube it to a squadron over in Iraq. There's a bit of a story behind it since he scaled it out in the colors of their squadon (but that has nothing to do with boats, so...). Plans are to hit SRQ early morning and drop back by Ackerman on the way home.

That must have been some other time. Pete was with us in Port St. Lucie that weekend for the Waveblasters meet. I think Pete probably has gone home by now. I know I had talked to him about being there with his raft if he didn't to to the east coast.

Sorry I won't be there. My car has gone on the fritz. No transportation unless they fix it tomorrow which I doubt. Something wrong in the engine wiring. It's driving them crazy.

I will have your batteries soon. They are on their way. I'll let you know when they come in.

            Seeya!

Not too bad a deal but let's hold out for something cheaper and just go with oars so we don't have to register it!

For those who don't know. We are 'thinking' about getting another retrieve boat that a different member can bring when the regular boat isn't available.

These will be rowboats without a title. Can't register. Have to register to put a motor of any kind on it. In reality, oars work really well. Faster than a trolling motor sometimes.

especially when the magic smoke comes out of the trolling motor.

Ya got that right! We need to hold 'canoe' classes so none of our guys capsizes and gets the motor wet! Haaar.
