Yeah! I spent the morning looking for a nice 1515 for Ed's upcoming Mg29 build. I found a Bnew cc1515 2200kv for $120.

I pushed Ed in getting a MG29 hull and Canopy over at Phil's. Then after he got one, Phil's increased the price from $152 to $170ish! hahaha!

I had to do alot of editing on this one.It is probably a hackjob but it is my first.Just waiting for it to finish on YT
I got my last 1515 for about that but I fluked into it.I'm always watching locally.Alot of the guys say they are too much power in a R/C car.

Hi skyman where in California are you, if your near the southbay area you should go to legg lake in el Monte from June 19th to the 23rd the fast electric nationals are being held there at the best boating lake I have seen. Plus we have a great little club called socal electrics, I have a mg slightly modded with a castle 1515 1y and a t-180 that flies. The one thing I advise to change asap is the hatch for a grp one the original one shatters to easy.

Chiefy44 is right! That plastic canopy cannot be trusted specially with a upgraded electronics. You've seen the new turbine canopy design that Shawn and Jason are using right? Those are made of fiberglass and cool looking too! Just like the real Geico racing cat! I know Mardon sent a extra turbine canopy to Jason in Ca. If you're interested then just coordinate with them.

Uhm, this is a boating forum and not a plane forum - so dont think you can disguise your fuselage by just taking off the wings, running it on water and taking a vid of it and be done, right? We're on to your shenanigans buddy!

srislash, just watched the video, OMG that is one hell of a fast boat, i want mine to do that!!!! and a cool retrieval technique, very nice

so i just pulled the trigger on a few more items from Hobbypartz. here is my list of parts so far for the MG build:
-MG Hull & Canopy
-HW Seaking 180A ESC w/ LED Program Card
-Traxxas 2075 Servo
-FlySky GT3-B Receiver

pretty sad eh?

just a quick question, haven't had a chance to read all the posts in this thread yet (i will in time):
have you guys had better experience with the castle or leopard motor?

CASTLE,CASTLE,CASTLE!!! Motors and ESC's rule.Pricey but they stand behind them IF they should go wrong.I have not had a Leo yet and probably won't.All my reading has told me they run warm.Another option is TP motors.

Those are TP 1820kv motors.good for 60,000 RPM and 2500 watts.
