I'm not really an expert on props but slowly I'm learning. So far so good! Hehehe!

The "Molino Boaters" is really founded by gas boat running guys and just recently these gas guys are exploring FE. They tease a lot that their FEs are more of 'intermission' while they let their gas engines cool down before running them again. They are really serious with their gas boats and when they run them, it keeps us electric guys at bay! hahahaha.
I started with FE, but very eager to join in their gas fun! Oh boy, they truly have fun!

Since I basically just started, I have a fiberglass copy of an AC Models Lazer45 on loan. The person who loaned me the boat will also loan me a slightly used Zenoah 260pum in stock configuration. I recently ordered some hardware from HOR racing - flex, stuffing, prop, engine mount, rudder, stinger and collet. Thats about it so far.
I am still on the lookout for speedmaster turn fins (the right turn fin is longer than the left), muffler, pipe, etc.
If you have extra gas parts you dont mind selling - feel free to pm me or email me: [email protected]

I know Tagasagwan is also eager to start with his first gas boat this coming new year - so Im sure he'll appreciate any gas boat parts that he could buy cheaper than bnew in stores.
Thanks for the kind consideration, Jason - we're quite excited to experience gas boat running!

Jason and Macdon definitely I will get a gasser. Like I said I donated my funds to the typhoon victims. I don't have anything related to gas boats. Not even a single bolt or nut for it! Hahaha! All my boats and parts are for fast electrics. Jason please give me a price list for your gas items and I'll find a way to get the funds. I really want a gas boat!

                          Hey guys,

                          Between these 2 motors:

                          3674 2200kv
                          4074 2000kv

I would assume that the 4074 would have more torque, but the 3674 has more rpm. If you prop up with the 4074, would you say that the 4074 motor would be the same speed wise as a 3674 with a higher kv rating? ie, 3674 with a 42mm prop and a 4074 with a 45mm prop - all other else being equal (same esc, same batt, same boat, etc.)

I am very happy with my 2200kv but it is a 1515.The 4074 would not heat up as much and I assume your sticking with 4s2p.If you go 4s1p you wouldn't generate as much heat with the smaller motor. If it were I,I would probably run the 4074 on 5s and the 42mm prop. But thats because I have the batteries to do that.
Its just a case of experimenting, thats what makes this stuff fun.

Don't think that helped your Question, did it.Have you played with OSE's speed calc. That'll give you a theoretical difference.

Well guys, I took the MG out today and only ran 50.2 mph???? But that 50 feels pretty good. All temps were under 85 degrees. I have not made any adjustments on the prop yet. I have only 4 runs on this boat. I think she has a bit more left in her! I really want upper 50s with the CC1515. Sorry no vids. I was running by myself. I am going to get a tripod so I can take vids while driving.
