Macdon you have the hands to create things in fiberglass! You've already done it with my yellow SM-29 and your Bugatti Deep-V. Both boats runs great speeds and turns very very well! You saw how my boat run last sunday! Turned it at full speed and I can't seem to flip the darn thing! Why don't you design a long hull cat that can handle speeds and make it a little bit wider to handle the turns. What do you think? We'll call it "Tuko"! hahaha!

Do you feel the pressure my friend? Yeeeeah! If only I had the talent and time that you have? I would have done it already!

Oh I forgot to mention! Try to make the hull with single and twin drive set-up in mind. Then, after reinforcing the tips, close the front portion with a wall to make the front portion like an air chamber. So, no need for pool noodles. If you're thinking of the battery, servo, esc trays and motor mounts for twin drives, No problem! My brother's neighbor has a laser cutter that can cut up to an inch thick. Just provide me with the design of course the CF flat sheet. We can even make the battery tray cut with your name on it! Hahaha!

Jerry - thanks for the info bud! Will definitely check it out!

Eric - you plan on selling that motor? Shoot me a pm. Im just running 4s batts, so was looking into higher (2200kv?) kv motors. I had to shorten my flex a bit due to the Turnigy motor having a long shaft. If I use your motor in my current motor mount, it may not reach the flex due to a shortened motor shaft? With a 2000kv, I could probably hike my batts to 6s(?) - but from past experience, its easier to change motors than batts.

Shawn - my flex shaft has a square end on the strut side that inserts in the prop shaft. So in the likelihood of breakage, the prop shaft will not fall off. The hassle of this setup is the lubrication/maintenance of the flex shaft - you either have to remove the strut to pull out the flex or remove the motor to pull out the flex. Tedious.

Stephen - I bet you wanted all this done before xmas, eh? hahahahaha!
Frankly, it sounds so crazy that I am inclined to do it! I remember 12yrs ago when a friend dared me to make a 1/6 scale WWII tank ............. look at where we are now!
The only dare that didnt materialize was when a friend asked for a 1/6 scale aircraft carrier! I was game but he couldnt handle the logistics! I would have to make that besides a beach, so I naturally asked for a beach front property! hahahahaha!
The only 'boat related' 1/6 scale I did was when a client commissioned me to do a Vietnam LSSC (Light SEAL Support Craft) and a 1/6 scale navy seal Zodiac raft.

Want it done before Christmas? I want it done yesterday man! I know your business started as a dare! Now you're well renowned probably the best in WWII 1/6 scale world! That's what I've been telling you over and over! You make great one of the kind vehicles, come to think of it, you even play with these things! Imagine creating something that you use every Sunday to pleasure yourself? Well, that didn't sound right! Hahaha! Anyway, my point is, if you create something that you really enjoy, the development will be continuous! Guys, what do you think?

Hey Mac,My stingers for the CF hull came like that with the square ends and I changed to one piece so I can remove them for grease.Mmm,I guess my idea fails in that application. On the MG it's not such a big deal to pull the strut off to grease. It's just an idea but I tell you if I lose one more nice prop.(I'm probably gonna take up Scuba)
Stephan,I thought you were pushing him for an MG copy.
I might add to Macdon,Yes if you enjoy building something it will be a prosperous venture.

Yeah! Push him make the turbine canopy! The paint would post the biggest challenge coz, we don't have the paint code for it. Still trying to find a paint shop that can match it though.

Yeah! My Lady said to go make a Gas boat! To hear that from a boaters wife is like a melody! Hahaha! God! I love that woman! But, with what I paid for her last ring, I don't think I can afford to make my first gasser early this year!

Playing with paint - another Geico theme perhaps?

We experimented more on the paint - but tried it with the gas boat Im currently building.
This fluorescent yellow spray can came from Stephen when we were doing the ride pads of my MG.
We first sprayed a white base acrylic using the spray gun - then we used the fluorescent yellow spray can paint over it.
