These were painted with the same Fluorescent Spray paint can - but the turbine canopy had a light grey/beige first coat, while the big gas boat had a white base coat.

I guess you don't like sharpening and balancing your own props there srislash. I don't like it myself but I've found I get them much better ballanced than the ones I bought pre balanced in the past. Plus it brings the cost down to under $15 per prop. I havn't lost one in a while but if I do it won't be a $40 loss. A better balanced prop might partly explain why my electronics temps are so low. Of course I know the larger tubing for the cooling system probably accounts for most of it. An other thing is the only time I had a shaft damaged was when I used one of my props that had a nick in it. On that day I also lost the prop as the shaft came apart. Could have very well been a balancing issue. Have you ever taken a pre balanced prop and put it on a prop balancer? Sometimes you may get lucky but they can't put the kind of time I put into it so the end result is odds are unless you get lucky they won't be as well balanced.Comment

Macdon that paint looks sweet in the pics, as for prop ballancing and all that i got Iceman to do my 442 and that thing was dead on and looked like gold, he did an excilent job.. for loosing prop shafts ive seen shaft savers, you slip it onto the shaft between the motor and stuffing tube and it has a set screw the side of it to tighten it down but ive never found any buy googling them..Comment

Glad to here that Iceman does a good job on props, I just bought one from him!!!! For propsavers, I just go to the hardware store and get 3/16 collers with the allen set screw. They seem to work great!!!Miss Geico CC1515 2200kv T180 2S2S- Twin Genesis with 2 2700kv 2 T180's 4S2P- Stiletto with 2030kv T120 4S1P-DF33 4082 1600kv T180 6S2P- and lots of gassers!Comment

Holy,I missed alot today while at work.I used to do my own props years back, alot of years back when I was going for the electric speed record with the likes of Jim Auguston and Jerry Dunlap. But for now I,m just building boats and trying to reassemble the boat club that used to exist.I own my own company so haven't wanted to spend an entire evening on 1 prop.Yet,anyway!!
Macdon,if thats what a finished hatch can look like where's mine?Hehe.Actually not kidding.Comment

I always use a S/B/P props. Macdon always teases me because I'm meticulous about them. Well, for me, since I spent money ordering props from the U.S. and an astroflight magnetic balancer, why not use them and polish rough skills on props right? I have to admit, it is tedious and time consuming. My Aquacraft SV27's old Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoTm4Btz41Q
