From what I know of these "wire drive" you cant just run them in the brass drive tube. They have a bearing dive tube for those, has 4 ball bearings in it. There's no way in my mind that w/o those bearings it wont rub, and when it does rub, it's so thin it will either eat a hole in the tube, or shaft get too thin and break. Zelos has that bend at engine side, how will you stop it from rubbing the top part of the brass tubing at that bend? Granted I don't know much about these other then a guy at my pond is running "wire drive" in a gasser.

I bought the OSE upgraded flex shafts and here is what I like to point out. There barley longer and why you can fit a bigger prop is because they have a tiny drive dog. the steal shaft is shorter and that's better, but definitely change the drive dog.saft dirrerence.jpgshaft 2.jpgdrive dogs.jpg

The wire drive from wohlts is a drop in replacement for the cable. No bearings , just need to change out the collet on the motor. Leave the existing liner in. I put one in my spartin , much smoother than the cable but I did have some water leak when sitting in the bathtub because the wire is smaller than the cable. Ended up making some seals out of cooling tube in each end of the brass tube

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgWhat do you guys think of this idea to scoop more water into the inlets on the bottom of the hull? They are push rod exit covers I had lying around from my rc plane days. Epoxy them over the stock inlet tubes. Not sure if they would stay on or get ripped off. Or create too much drag

                    Don't do it.

The picture below shows all that is needed.
Your's should be sanded flat to reduce the drag.

So I'm Informed by "Rawsteele" via YouTube that I would have too go through him to get a motor from Jose. Is this correct? Nice motors.

The dip looks pretty sweet. Should gone with the C-note pattern.

No! Leave it stock or shape it like truckpull showed you. Btw, I shaved mine at and did them like that it it didn't pick up anything. At all. (Mph wise). In other words it didn't go any faster.
