All I'm doing is thinking on the packed air thing and keeping the boat down. Could you vent it somehow with a tube / space (etc etc) through the hull? That might bleed off excess air at speed. Or dare I say it.... some type of airfoil designed to exert a little downforce only at speed.

What brand 6s are they that weight just 42.8oz?

SMC. so far there a bang for the buck. Hard cased, and you can pick your connections. Each 6s weights 21.4 according to there specs.

I noticed grease oozing between my struts & the transom. Also the mounting bolts always need a 1/2 turn or so after running, which tells me they are pulling thru. I intend to add some plates like Erroneous did, but until then I added some support blocks between the strut mount and the transom overhang. Hopefully will help alleviate some of the stress.

                          I get the "
oozing grease" thing also, but every other run I snog things down, and hasn't been a problem. I even ran up on a back end of a boat that just died in front of me, went air-born twice at over 60, and still hull is crackles. don't over tighten, just snog it and do it offen.

Mine oozes as well took the struts off last night cleaned everything up reassembled with some silicon sealer to seal the screws and strut up. I was surprised how thin the hull was at those strut mounting points. I could see beefing them up some with fiberglass or metal plate

I got them installed and bench tested them. They are pretty smooth. I should get her in the water this weekend
