Has anyone put these motors in Zelos 36, if so how did it perform and what props were used, thanks
I have found its easier to remove the mount with motor intact, then swap motors and reinstall the mount

Got a chance to run my Wohlt wire drives for the first full run today. I put them in last fall and never got a chance to really get a good run because I was having esc problems. Ran good today got 67 mph w 4 battery's wire drives worked well after about a 10min run mostly speed runs back and forth with some slower cruising in between. Zero water leaking it. I did remove the struts and remount with silicone sealer before installing the wire drives but I'm not using any cap seal on the stuffing tube up by the motor.
Other thing which I don't know if will be an issue with extended use is when I install them I have to use a hook to lift the wire slightly up to get it to go into collet So because there is a slight end in the wire when installed there is some downward pressure on the collet end of the motor shaft

i can describe my way to do it: synpol cream and dremel with felt cap on it...
oxide come out, specially where there's ontact with bearing sor others...
obviously this treatment must be done on the "not flex part" of the axle...
i use synpol cream with paper too on my mini eco rigid wire shaft...

I polished the shafts on my wire and cable drives. Use a power / cordless drill, chuck the motor end of the cable or wire . Take a piece of fine emry folded between your fingers put a little oil on the shaft start the drill while holding the shaft between your fingers with the emry. Then I go back over with a soft cloth with mothers or flitz polish and drill looks like a mirror when done

I put the flex cable in a drill and spin the entire thing while polishing the flex cable with sandpaper. I can't remember if I used 400 or 800 grit wet/dry. I know where it is in the drawer anyways.
I use Mother's metal polish on the prop shaft portion with a soft rag.

I also just chuck it up in a drill and use some 4 or 600 grit sandpaper

See, I knew I did mine wrong. I put some valve grinding compound on the flex, then ran it back and forth in the stuffing tube about 1 1/2" with the drill on full speed. Then cleaned everything and repeated the process with Flitz polish. Spins good, still hear the scratchy sound though while spinning it. I might have to get a can of brake cleaner.

Same here. Flexxes in a drill but I started with a 3m 320 grit then 600 then 2"x2" polishing pads from Amazon. Carefull with the foam polishing pads if you use them. Too much pressure or too fast on the drill they will start to melt. Shafts are nice and shiny. Heres the pads. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00B3...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
