Thanks for the tips on the paint guys. I may just leave it raw as battle scars for now. Boating went great on Saturday no issues with the hull at all. Just need to have Chris make me some props and get some new flexshafts. I'm thinking on X447's. Please chime in with any helpful info.

    Best,
    Brian

I picked up a few more mph with Chris's x447s vs my failed attempt at them.

More than the 86 mph you had with your other props or more then the 70mph you had on the run with them?

The 70-71 I got was using Chris's x447s. With my own S&B&D x447s, all I got was around 63. The abc 1815s I got with my Zonda are the ones that got me to the 86. (Note: Those 1815's are not done by Chris, I got them with the Zonda, so I'm not certain who did them.) I do however have a set of Chris's 1815s on my Zonda, I am betting if I try his version I will be at 90 or more. Reason i say this is because when running the Zonda with the 1815's it came with, I maxed out around 79. Swapped them along with the Castle ESC's and that's what got me to 90. To sum up a confusing post, here it is:

          Keagan's X447's SB&D= 63
          Dasboata X447's= 70-71 (can't remember off hand)

          Unknown 1815s= 86.5
          Dasboata 1815s= ???

Brian, saw your boat run over on RC Groups. Looks really good in the chop. Good repair job too. You know what I have come to like to use to repair damage like that? CA glue. The thin stuff with get soaked in to the gladd and become harder than any epoxy I have found. U then layer the thicker CA and spray it with accelerator. It hardens up quick and allows you to start sanding with a few minutes.

As for props, I would detongue some 447s or get some ABC 1716s if they ever come back in stock. I've been meaning to detongue and cut down some 447s to 445-ish to try and see if I can get the 7 mph needed to get to 100mph. Good luck man, hopefully I'll see you at HD soon.

                    Thanks Rafael!
I may give the CA a try next time as its sounds like a faster alternative to Epoxy. This Repair really held up to some fast tumbles so hopefully I won't have to make another repair anytime soon.
Good Luck hitting the 100MPH Mark!! Hope to see you down at HD soon brother

I'm running stock electronics, Ose flex cables, 6s to each and Chris's x447's, and hit 68 mph. My question is... can I have him make me some 1815's and gain speed, With stock or stay with the 447's?

Hey guys, every time I get over upper 60's it wants to flip. Got tired of that so measured and lowered the right strut to 1 mm above the lowest setting, then went to the left one and lowest it could go was 2mm difference. The Right drive can go 3mm lower then the left drive. sounds like a hull not being true?

never removed or altered the drives or the boat

I think 1815s are saw props. Don't think the stock electronics can handle it.

I have not run them, but would tend to agree. I have a set of Dasboata ABC 1814's that should do mid 70's on stock electronics.

So, seeing how my experience with TP Power has been "fun" this motor change will have to wait. For some reason they (Junlin) cant get me a matching pair of motors without getting the runaround. Ordered my MOTORS in Jan and only got one. Then Im told that the cans are not in stock and I have to wait, no prob.... Now I get the other motor yesterday and it has a different can with different endbells (no holes in cap) and a slightly lighter color. Im told "the contents are same". Would anyone on this forum run two different motors in a twin setup? Didnt think so. Id hoped to have this thing on the water already. Hope they make it right.........
