I am sorry for I misinterpreted a RTR thread as being , mod w/o electronics change-outs. thought maybe weight, batteries, props, drive angles....etc.... You guys been helpful knowing what I can expect out of the Zelos, so don't get me wrong, just the longer I follow the thread, the more taking out of stock is becoming the thread.

I agree. It's turned into something that I didn't want it to. What i created it for was;
-props. What props are working best for you.
-motors. You swapped motors, we want to know what you went with and how it faired.
-escs. You swapped escs, let's hear how they fit, they run cooler, you picked up speed...whatever
-mods. Cooling system. Rudder. Aerodynamic. You name it. If it's a modification that makes you boat better in some way...lets see/hear it.
-aesthetics. Cleaning up the interior, hose routing, decals, paint jobs. Let's see it.
What I don't want is problems with your boat. Warranty issues., whining...whatever. It's cluttering the thread for no reason. This because a hassle for other people that didn't start from the beginning and they have to sift through the bs. This isn't a complain thread or discuss problems thread. It's a MODDING thread created to help people get their boat to perform better or increase reliability.Zelos 36 stock 68 mphComment

I was recommended a set of X442's OSE fast service, I have them today. What is the difference between the 442's and stock props?Zelos 36 stock 68 mphComment

The difference in speed between the stock props and a set of properly balanced and sharpened stock props is noticable. As stated above somewhere, Rafael went 63+ on a set I prepped for him.
An Octura X442 would have the ability to be "tweaked", however...Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

I did not mean to step on toes,or start any issues. I like to keep everything stock [ele wise] gas boats at my pond are mostly modified gas that do 70 to 80 mph, people come up to me all the time asking is it stock after doing a run, always ask price. would like to have a RTR electric keep up with the gasers. that's what I'm shooting for, any help with that was what I am looking for.
First off your not stepping on any toes. Second, with some tweaking and good batteries you can attain 70+ speeds with stock props that are s/b and doing the few little things here I've mentioned. It just takes a little bit of trial and error.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

So with little feedback on prop choice for the zelos I've gone and ordered two 42 mm 3 blade CNC props from ose in hope to increase my acceleration out the hole without adding too much load on the stock motors. There's so many variables that I'll just have to try it and see. The props were only $60 so if they suck I'll move on lol.
Also changing out the crap spektrum servo for a 1210 WP digital savox made a good improvement to the steering response , really doesn't effect steering radius due to the rods maxing out. But worth the $100 for a titanium gear digi. An aluminum horn took away any possible flex the plastic one had .Comment

Hull touch up paint - Zelos twin yellow
I got this car touch up paint from Canadian tire and it's a really good match for the Zelos twin yellow. It's really good quality and holds up awesome. Perfect for dings and chips. It's a tiny tiny bit darker but when it dries you can't tell at all. Works great, $20 it's Duplicate-color Ford D6 - screaming yellow CAFM 0400Attached FilesComment

No prob guys, it's got a ball point applicator and a brush plus it's got clear coat with a foam applicator (not needed on Zelos) but handy for other things. It's dupli-color not duplicate stupid spell check. Sorry for the sideways picture lolComment
