Got my Wohlt wire drive kit yesterday. Very nice bullets lock nuts drive dogs and collets included. Just tested it in the bathtub no leaks.

Did you have to cut them down at all? I took about 4mm off and there's still plenty of wire in the collet, but I can now position the drive dog any distance from the strut. Maybe that's what 'll do today, flat the boat in the bathtub where its warm

No cutting. Moved the motors all the way up toward the bow then had to move them back towards the stern to get the wires to bottom in the collet and leave a few mm spacing between drive dog and strut. I used the stock drive dogs because they were slightly larger dia and a little longer

Hello yes I have. Ever since getting the Zelos earlier this year I have been worried about the water cooling. I have read all the discussions from Rafael stating that the water should not flow too fast, but quite often I could not see any water coming out at all. Here in Manila we have hot dirty water conditions so have been very concerned about this.

The first test was to use a Genesis cat twin pickup rudder from OSE. The stock is a bit thin so I packed it with washers both sides. It is also a bit shorter than the standard rudder so cornering saw quite a bit of skidding. With this rudder I jumped up to 113KPH (sounds more impressive than 70.7MPH), and can be seen in use in this video link below. For this test I merely connected the two under-hull pickups with a plastic tube in case I wanted to revert back to the standard setup. However the test went really well and I have now sanded off and filled up the hull pickups - I am staying with the twin pickups in the rudder.

I have now got a larger rudder from rcboatbitz. It comes 165mm deep and I have cut 15mm off the bottom. This only needs one washer to pack it in the Zelos rudder fitting. I am trying this rudder out tomorrow

I just ran a set of Dasboata X447's last sunday. When opened the package, I was impressed that they came with a couple stickers (love product stickers). I checked one out one my balancer ...perfect... then noticed there engraving on the hub, wow nice ! Also looks like he cut the tounge a little. Now the important part, getting them wet. Knowing these are sharp as a knife, taking off slower is a must, or it will just cavitate until they catch water. Was hard to judge just how much speed was gained since I readjusted my settings from when I ran it a week ago, but can tell it did gain speed. Very nice props, was here when promised. If you are running 447's, should give these a try. Great job Chris.

My Dasboata 447's cavitate much less and hook faster than my stock props ever did. Can't wait to get them back.

The new rudder works well. you asked for a link to the rudder. It is here: www.rcboatbitz.com.au

                                http://www.rcboatbitz.com/index.php?...yword=502B52-a

                                (reference 502B52-A)

I chose it simply because it had twin pickup, was long enough, and had the right head of the rudder to fit the Zelos stock. I had to move the hole for the sacrificial crash bolt up slightly and it is also a fraction too narrow, and I solved this with washers for Sunday, but that is not a good solution - there was some vibration - and have now painted the head of the rudder with a mixture of west epoxy and finely chopped carbon and after filing off 90% of the coating I now have a nice snug fit and will test again today.
