You have to put the flat spot on the shaft for the set screw on the drive dog. You also have to cut the wire to length and it does not come with a bullet or prop nutComment

Now that I think about it it was the cable drive I ordered from him that came with the bullet nut and locknut and drive dog. But both the wire and cable drives I bought from Jeff had a milled flat for the drive dog. Maybe when this wire drive kit is proven he will refine them by cutting to length and milling the flatComment

Has anyone tried the ABC 1616-10-50 (3) ? There only 1.6mm smaller then stock, but has 64.96 pitch and stock is 58.67mm pitch, and its 3 blades. It might be in the back pages somewhere, but I don't recall seeing it.Zelos 36 stock 68 mphComment

Hey guys, sorry I have been off this so long. Been busy and apologize. I will catch up on the reading here. But I am trying to take care of the orders. I do not have all the exact specs for several of these boats. I finally did a spartan for a friend the other day..after selling probably more than 400 spartan wire drives.
Thanks for the support and I certainly try to get them right but one person says one spec and another says a different. I do not like the 2 piece drives. I think it is a great concept but I have not seen many last. Most China cables just do not hold up. This goes back to some of the first China boats I made retro kits for.
I will update my website for the voracity, zelos and most likely get making some wire drives for the Pro Marine twin. They just work easier and the 078 are good for 6S and good sized props. I really dealing with cables and the right and left crap.
I have to say...there are some fast setups here and you all have really tested the waters on new motors, drives and ESC systems. Wish I could run more but I do this part time and my full time job is running a Hilton/Doubletree hotel so it takes much of my time.Comment

P.S. I had to get a new log in but I guess I can live with Jr. Member. I was actually one of the first on this board...thanks to Steven. Great forum and he does great business and has helped and invested in it more than anyone I know. There is not much profit in this stuff. Sure, I wish I charged Machine Shop rates but that would never work. I do it for the sport and the friendships.Comment

I have no problem with milling the flat spot but this is so new that I really do not know where it is on the shaft. If anyone wants to guide me I certainly can add it. I will have a kit soon for this setup and it will be refined. Along with the Skater. One person say it is a 4mm prop shaft and then I see others saying it is 3/16". I just need solid info.Comment
