I hand twisted shaft while adjust motor, to feel the lease drag, so here it is for the adjustment for "Jeff drives"

Couple questions. Did the wire drives have a flat milled on them for the drive dog set screw? Did they come with bullet nuts for the props? The wire drive I bought from Jeff for my spartin had all of the above plus was precut to length thanks

You have to put the flat spot on the shaft for the set screw on the drive dog. You also have to cut the wire to length and it does not come with a bullet or prop nut

Now that I think about it it was the cable drive I ordered from him that came with the bullet nut and locknut and drive dog. But both the wire and cable drives I bought from Jeff had a milled flat for the drive dog. Maybe when this wire drive kit is proven he will refine them by cutting to length and milling the flat

Has anyone tried the ABC 1616-10-50 (3) ? There only 1.6mm smaller then stock, but has 64.96 pitch and stock is 58.67mm pitch, and its 3 blades. It might be in the back pages somewhere, but I don't recall seeing it.

I personally like the fact that there not cut to size, that way your not limited to how far you can adjust motors, and as far as the notch for the drive dog, that being a do-your-selfer would be nice on flex drives as long as you can put a lager prop on w/o making drive dog smaller, but for "Jeff drives" once again if shaft is too far in the outdrive, then shaft will rub at one point, it its out a little it will rub at a different point. Took me awhile to size and adjust mine to fit a good size prop, and have less friction, motor was a pita lol, and now I just copy over to other side. So to sum it up, I don't expect modified shafts to be ( out of box, ready to install and run in 5 mins)

Hey guys, sorry I have been off this so long. Been busy and apologize. I will catch up on the reading here. But I am trying to take care of the orders. I do not have all the exact specs for several of these boats. I finally did a spartan for a friend the other day..after selling probably more than 400 spartan wire drives.

Thanks for the support and I certainly try to get them right but one person says one spec and another says a different. I do not like the 2 piece drives. I think it is a great concept but I have not seen many last. Most China cables just do not hold up. This goes back to some of the first China boats I made retro kits for.

I will update my website for the voracity, zelos and most likely get making some wire drives for the Pro Marine twin. They just work easier and the 078 are good for 6S and good sized props. I really dealing with cables and the right and left crap.

I have to say...there are some fast setups here and you all have really tested the waters on new motors, drives and ESC systems. Wish I could run more but I do this part time and my full time job is running a Hilton/Doubletree hotel so it takes much of my time.

P.S. I had to get a new log in but I guess I can live with Jr. Member. I was actually one of the first on this board...thanks to Steven. Great forum and he does great business and has helped and invested in it more than anyone I know. There is not much profit in this stuff. Sure, I wish I charged Machine Shop rates but that would never work. I do it for the sport and the friendships.

I have no problem with milling the flat spot but this is so new that I really do not know where it is on the shaft. If anyone wants to guide me I certainly can add it. I will have a kit soon for this setup and it will be refined. Along with the Skater. One person say it is a 4mm prop shaft and then I see others saying it is 3/16". I just need solid info.

Nice looking. Several of you are the first to test these. If they do not work well I will be glad to replace them with cables...(at no charge.) I hate being the beta tester on anything so let me know.

Not at all. Didn't have to wait that long. Waited longer for things before :) Besides packing was great, would take a hell of a lot to ruin them in shipping.

Anybody that will provide the drivedog flat area specs from the nut end would be great.
