Just finish now to read the entire thread after one week!
I am going to purchase the zelos after a long search about promarine and zonda...
Zelos will be my third fast boat, my second fast cat, my first twin fast cat...

I try to make a very short summary to of the tricks and mods:
align motors, lube axles, balance props, sharphe rudder, define lipo position then define the strut
top speed using 40 motors with 180A ESC (i will try Keda motors in the future)

Props: that's the point! What prop i can choose to get more speed (70mph) with stock setup without fry electronics?
I read stock props are similar to Octura X442 so 42mm pitch 1.4 2-blades
I read X447 are to big for stock setup...
I'd like to mount 3-blades to put nose down and for my eyes joy...

    What's best choice between X445, 1716-17-45, 1814-10-50, 1716-10-50 (2 blades)?
    what about 3 blades 1714-10-50, 1616-10-50?

One more question: i will use my own radio tx with sticks, so the throttle will be operated by the half (up) range of the left stick.
For your experience the ESC have some problems with a short range stick?

Should have waited for the OSE cables. Doesn't look like I will get mine from Wohlt in time to run this weekend. They were in stock, but haven't shipped. The whole reason I went with them over the OSE ones was because I needed a replacement by Friday. Crap deal ya'll

I figured that's probably the norm. Maybe I should beef up that area with a CF bulkhead?

You could have just ordered 3/16 cables from Steve and cut them to length. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...?prod=ose-1190

Something small will wear anything out faster then something big, spinning at same rpm. Think about a drill bit: Takes longer drilling through something with a 1/2" bit then it does with a 1/8" bit

I want to jump up to 45mm props and wanted the extra 4mm of the length the OSEs offer. I mounted my OSE 1.6 pitch 45mm CNC prop off my Blackjack 24 on the Zelos to see if they fit the stock Zelos Twin cables and they just barely fit. I'm going to run 1.4 pitch props which should be a touch shorter I would think? Also ordered bullet prop nuts.
Jeff seemed like a good guy, I think he was out of town. Did you mention that you were shooting for this weekend? I think he would of told you if possible or not. Also I hope you have prop nuts to put on 1st, I seen a lot of props go to the bottom because they used just a bullet.

As for your prop Question lol join the club :) I'm using a set of x447's (detongued) with stock electronics , and pushing not quiet 70mph. I believe i'll get low 70's once I'm finished setting it up. My temps are 30 to 40 degrees above lake temp of 90 degrees, doing laps, not just speed run and slow down several times

While I agree with your example, I disagree with the comparison. First off obviously the wire isn't a drill bit and it's not designed to cut, its slick and the brass has its own lubricating type properties and so does Teflon. If it were in a sharp bend then it might would wear a little more but you don't use wire drives in a sharp bend anyway. It'll be just fine. Many people use wire drives with success and I haven't heard of any additional or abnormal wear issues. You'll be good, trybit with Teflon first and see how it goes. I personally would use no Teflon ultimately but I'd at least try it with the Teflon.

if its not tight up against it (sharp bend) then you are probably right. I'm going to use the Teflon at 1st, then maybe take it out and look at wear. You make a good point thanks.

Also once the wire is in the collet it almost kinda floats in the tube.

As of today I haven't received it yet . He didn't order till Monday to get it by Friday he would have had to specify overnight or 2nd day air

It usually takes 3 days for me to get an order from OSE. I paid for the priority shipping which said 2-3days. Pretty much everyone ships within 24hrs. if it's in stock. Never know, it could still show up? I sent him a message yesterday and still haven't heard back. Lesson learned and no big deal. Most of the sites that I have been to that are a part time job for someone are explained and will say orders may take a couple days, but I didn't get that info until the next day. I didn't want to be a jerk and cancel, but this ruined plans I had to go run with a buddy alongside his 30' boat which would have been a blast. Probably won't have an opportunity to do it again until next year It's starting to get cold here in Ohio, at least for boaters.

I get all my OSE orders in 2-3 business days. USPS priority shipping is always worth the couple extra bucks. If I order Monday its always in my mail box by Thursday, of course as long as its in stock.

You guys live in any hurricane Matthew affected areas. I don't but the mail passes through some of those places. My order from OSE has always been on time but one order was delayed due to the hurricane which is understandable.
