Yo! I had a GREAT run with the boat!
My silcone job did the trick...Well for the most part. I killed off my whole pack of 18 cells, and there was just about a 1/5 of a dixie cup worth in the bottom of the hull. MUTCH improved.
Anyway, to the good stuff. EVERYTHING went great. I ran on 18 cells, using a worked P215 prop. Fan on the ESC, SV27 water cooler on the motor.
NOTHING was hot. Batteries, Motor, ESC all just barley warm. Maybe 100 degrees F. See, this is why I need my data logger to get here. For all I know I am only pulling 25 or 30 amps
The boat ran what looked to be consistent mid 30's. It was everybit as fast as my SV27 on 12 cells, and I think they would run together with the SV27 on 14 cells.....
So anyone think I should try a differant prop? I am happy with the speeds, but I almost think this quannum motor can push 40MPH. It does'nt even seem like it's breaking a sweat.
And thanks jeepers, i'm gonna check out that fuel tubing idea.
My props are as follows..
P215, P220, X447, X440/3,
Carbon 35mm -40mm -45mm -50mm -55mm
