Funny that you mention that. I was told to speak to you about a motor and prop for this set up. Let me know what you think would be a great set up for this.
      Thanks

I am leaving for Kentucky to go racing Wednesday morning at 4am. I am behind schedule. I will post a picture of the set up when I have time.

I like your suggestion, but I am trying to stay with a 6s setup. For me to go 10s, I will need to buy new batteries. I have a good inventory of 3s battery's.
Any suggestions running 6s? I should have mentioned that sooner. Thank you

Thank you on the boat. Drag week was rolling in at Beech Bend while I was racing in the NMCA LSX Series. I went out in round 3 of 6 rounds. Seems to have been a glitch in the timing system. Everyone was going red, well maybe 8 out of 10. I went red twice, very unusual for me. We spoke to the officials, they said there was nothing wrong. Round 4 had less red lights after we complained. LOL I am still maintaining first place. Last race in 2 weeks at Indy.

I just purchased the ARR version of this boat, hull and running hardware but no motor, radio or esc for $579. CDN at my local hobby store. This looks to be a very well put together hull and im looking forward to building it up. I have to say it sure is a sweet looking boat with lots of scale detail. The biggest problem I see with it is I have now officially ran out of space in my hobby room, but that's a problem I don't mind having.

Congrats. You will enjoy it. I am sure Steven Vaccaro will have a suggestion for you. I am having fun with mine all stock, I cannot wait to replace the motor and prop.

Steve, would this motor be OK to run with a 6s set up?
                  Thanks

With that 780kv motor you want to run 8s or 10s and may be 12s if the boat was trimmed out just right,
And you propped down from the 10s setup to do some two minute saw runs.

Would a Leopard 56 90 something series in the 1090 to 1200kv be ok on 6s? I too have many 3s packs and 6s is just convenient.
Looking for an inrunner with a bit more punch and speed over the stock outrunner.

I'm not sure, I haven't ever tried to run a boat that size on only 6s.

Than if you only have 3s packs,
Just run three 3s packs in series for 9s or four 3s packs in series for 12s.
Three or four on each side of the hull.
Your stock motor in that boat is 1100kv,

So may be a T600 1400kv would give that hull a little more speed on 6s.

t600 1400kv is tiny and would get hot real quick in that boat, no? Im with steve on the 2028 castle. that with 9s2p would be really really good imo.

There are a ton of airplane guys with 3s packs, the problem I find is they are normally running them as single packs. So the packs are all different qualities. This can be dangerous when running 3 or 4 packs in the same system.

The t600 1400kv is the same size that comes with the boat stock that he has been running on 6s,
But it will be pushing 1400kv instead of 1100kv on 6s.

Just not sure what temps he is getting with the stock motor yet on 6s.

Hears is the 2028 780kv motor running in a mono that Steven is talking about on 10s,
                                Build thread and video's.
