    Atomik A.R.C. 58" Catamaran owners???

I had posted on the original thread about this boat, and was bombarded with a TON of people bashing this boat for various reasons, and then the mods shut the thread down... I know they had a few issues with the motor in the first run of these boats, but that problem has been fixed... I have been looking to buy a large scale cat for a while now, and I really don't want to go with a gas boat due to noise/mess etc... and this boat really appeals to me, and I am most probably going to pick one up...

I am not really looking for killer speed, as I am more wanting a boat to drive around, and have a little fun... I really like how the larger cats look... I was wondering if anyone out here that actually bought one of these, has any feedback on how the boat is holding up, quality of hull/components, etc...

I respect any and all opinions on this boat, just keep the bashing to a minimum please... I don't want this thread to be closed like the last one...and I have had just read that Bill Oxidean just won a race with this boat in stock condition... pretty cool I might add...:) thanks, and I hope to hear from fellow ARC owners...

    Potential ARC owner,

Thanks for the interest in the Atomik ARC boat. Its true that we had some motor issues with the first run of these boats, about 30 of these boats went our with motor magnets glued in with improper epoxy. Once we found out we promptly called every purchaser and made sure to Fed Ex them out a new motor, or took the boat back to do the motor replacement in house and overnight them a new one. It wasn't perfect, but we did the best we could to minimize the impact on our customers. The boat is a great looking scale realistic boat and is a blast to drive, it outperforms the stock gas version of the same boat which was what we really wanted. You mentioned Bill's victory, which is a testament to the boats ability even against boats that were much faster. Don't let the opinions of haters affect your buying decision. There are a ton of very credible and experienced contributors on this site that provide great feedback and information so don't let brand specific bashers lead you astray.

thanks for the valid info... my next question is, I am buying my boat from an ebay store dealer... will you guys still cover my full warranty, etc, as it is a brand new in sealed box boat... not sure if you guys only guarantee the ones bought from the atomik site directly...
      thanks!!!

and why does this boat keep popping up all over the web, after they were pulled from the shelves...
And watching to see if this becomes another sales thread for venom...

I would actually buy one of these if it wasn't for the fact I'm picking up a LSH boat and looking for a JAE for 2013 season to go along with my 4 other race boats

I too am looking at buying one of these. I talked to a guy in Toronto that has one and was able to prop and tune it to get 45mph out of it. He runs 4 6s batteries in it.

He said the build and quality of the boat is great and has never flipped it which is great.
