Yeah thats it. I see you just sold yours. Did you ever have a GPS in it? Im looking at doing a very similar set up but with the turnigy aquastar (2200kv) version of the leopard 4074 and the T-180 esc. I was hoping to crack 60mph or get as close to as possible with this set up on 5s I'll have to slowly work my way through the octura catalogue will start with the m445. Am I dreaming..?

        Hey,
You can put a small piece of fuel line on the flex shaft right after the coupler,
        To stop that from happening.
They also sell flex shaft stop for that purpose to.

Also has anyone ever successfully made one of these go around a corner? Id like to make some improvements in that department if possible.

Not really, the offset rudder apparantly keeps the boat in a straight line a bit better, but it dosent turn because of its narrow hull
Yes it does turn if you want it to, but it usually rolls.
I dont know whether moving the rudder closer to the hull prevents the rollage, or moving it further away etc
I think the only way is to cut it down the middle and widen it 2 inches

My Daytona or Genesis turns pretty good with the offset rudder on mine,
Hears some videos of it on 4s.

Thanks Lenny! I'm going to put some fuel line to the flex shaft of my second boat as soon as the new one arrives.
Yeah that boat does corner quite well what prop are you using in your video? Mine does also on 4s, I need more time running at the lake with the recovery boat to find the limits, or find a cheap canoe.
(On a side note I have a paddle ski that I'm thinking about putting a brushless system in for easy retrieval with minimum strain on my back. Could be interesting....) I'll do a build thread if I go ahead with it.

                  Setup is seaking 180a and a CC/NEU 1515 1y 2200Kv motor.
                  Using a x442 in the videos on 4s2p 30c 3000mah packs Gps at 46mph,
                  Than I tried some 4s2p 25c 5800mah packs, Gps at 57mph.
I think the hull liked the extra weight in it to for handling and speed.

But are'nt you running a CC motor Lenny,,, i was running mine with the 2x5s in sieres and a m445 prop and was getting around 54mph but it needed more fine tuning wich im just not good at,, the rudder offset and close to the hull for me did help alot in the corners and felt like it could handle the turn better but in a turn i dont push my boats that hard, i dont want to go swimming so i cruize threw my turns and nail it coming out of them into the straight away,,,
Tristan i would start with a smaller prop cuz you dont no how well that motors going to handle the power, leopards and Castle motors are prooven so you can push them alittle!!

I'll give the HK440 I have on it now a run to start with see how it goes. Im going to order a remote wireless temp gauge thingo so I can keep an eye on the temps as I step up props etc. I enjoy the trial and error / data logging, set up stages of boating.

I haven't read the whole thread so if ya'll have already touch on this disregard.
the first thing I would do is convert to a single piece flex. I've seen the stock one come apart on 5s and destroy the hull. Just a heads up.
also, it seems to free it up a bit.

                          Cheers.
Come apart where and destroy the boat how mate? I like the idea myself, before the smoke came out of the esc I was running it twice sometimes 3 times daily for about 3-4mths didn't bother me. I appreciate your input and would like to know more. thanks.

Watched a stock cable break mid line and whipped around long enough to shred a very large hole in the hull. Doesn't take long to cause a bunch of damage at that rpm.

Plus it's way easier to line the cable with the one piece.
