Just got mine and I am really impressed with it. Wow.

I might yank the motor and esc and go with a 6s setup and outrunner right off the bat, not sure. But hull is really nice and the paint is fantastic!

I do not see myself ever building my skunk II now.

Good news, carbone and epoxy motor mounts are available at "modellbau pirat" That' s cool for building a twin setup Genesis

25€ carnone set and 15€ for the epoxy.

Astec sells a single drive and a twin drive Genesis. British pounds are nearly double ours. The twin genesis is $460ish depending on shipping.

TFL Hobbies make the Genesis, the Rocket, etc... etc...

Boats from Fightercat,HOR, etc... are made by TFL Hobbies. Customers add there name on TFL boats

The Fightercat 37" is the same hull than the Genesis, they come from the same factory

FYI - I had a 3/16" conversion strut made for 1/4" brass tubing that fits in the Genesis perfectly.

Is it just a case of replacing the strut and flex cable with this kit?

just came back from testing some of the changes to the genesis.
Installed 2 Flightmax 5000mah 5S packs in each side of the hull, running the Turnigy 4074 2000KV with a T180 and X642 prop.
unfortunatly I only managed to get it up to about half throttle on the flat water, there were some ripples that was enough for it, so even with the xtra weight of the battery packs it didnt hold it down that much more than the 4S packs.
One thing im sick of hearing (especially on this site) is that the genesis HAS to be run on 6S with somthing like a 1600kv motor. Definatly NOT true.
If i was to build up another genesis Id probably still stick with 4S on the 2200KV motor.
The Highest Temps I recorded were 50 degrees C on that setup. and almost 10Min of run time, sounds pretty good to me.
I didnt bother testing the temps from the newer setup today becuase i could just touch the motor and there was no heat in it.
Hull handles heaps better with the 642 compared with the 645.
