So got the genesis out on the water today very breifly. Ran 48.9mph on the gps, motor was 120.1F, esc was 129.3F both batts where in the 108F range. First run so tried to take it easy, ran a little over 4 min. Set up was:

            580-7L
            Turnigy 180esc (no bec)
            2s + 3s series for 5s, 4000mah 40C
            CF45
            Hypererformence .150 3/16 flex shaft
            4-40 steering rod
            JR Servo
            Spektrum DX3s
            MR200 rx
            Octura short coupler.
            48.9mph

I got the boat for $219 from HK, I think it has potential. Def a straight line boat, did go belly up taking a turn to sharp. Boat ran really wet, have to adjust the cg with battery placement. For the first run I had the batts really far forward, need to move them back some. Temps was really good especially for running so wet. I like to always run a CF prop on a new setup just encase something happens. Next week when I get back from vacation I will try a m445 and moving the batts aft better. A may a x447. but don't have one in my prop box.

Does somebody use a standard size servo mount with two linkage mount?

Looks good mounting a standard servo vertical in the GENESIS hull (?)

That mount looks sweet but wouldnt the standerd servo stand to high...maybe need a low profile one..thats what i got for my Skunk cat...

i dont think that servo would fit. Ive been and ran mine today for the first time on 2s2p and it was quite quick but i managed to get the rudder caught on something under the water and as its gone over it has split the back of the hull a bit i swear i have the worst luck with rc boats. What timing have you guys got your running at with the seaking 180amp esc and standard motor, it wasnt as fast as i would have liked and the batteries didnt last very long, they are 2x 7.4v 5800mah.

You will not get high speed with the stock motor, etc. driving a hull of that size and again buyer beware of RTR hulls....some are OK...some are very questionable. My 1.5 cents.

                              IMHO GENESIS hull needs 6S/180 Amps esc/ NEU 1515 or 1521 1500kV.

                              I prefer a twin setup

For a single, a 1521 would be the minimum for a decent upgrade.
