Wow! Square 4mm flex cable. What kinda s**t is that? I got rid of that and used a .150 to 3/16 prop shaft. Got rid of the stock strut and put on a 3/16 speedmaster strut I had lying around. Its a flat bottom strut for Hydro's and Rigger's but who cares, i'm not racing it, its only gonna be for sport. I had to take a little off of the rudder bracket to get the mounting holes to line up, but it worked out good. Just need a little shrink wrap on the stuffing tube to strut and she'll be set. Then I need to change out the stock esc. I have a hydra 120 I can use. Will that be good enough to run this on 4s with the stock motor? Maybe I'll change that out to a 9XL...

      Very nice Dangerous.

I got some work done today. I got the 180 mounted and removed the battery trays and laid some velcro down on it. I also laid a bead of CA around the servo mount and rx mount to make it stronger. Now just waiting for a order from Steve (OSE) and Jan (Kintec) to come in and she will be ready to hit the water.

Lookin good Diesel! How did you remove the batt trays? Heat gun? I laid epoxy on the servo and RX mounts. I also removed the epoxy on the stuffing tube and glassed it in with finishing resin. I'm gonna put in a CC Hydra 120 and run the stock motor on 4s. I will eventually put in a 9XL and run it with a little more voltage.

Even better I used my finger lol, i started pulling up on it to see how strong it was and to decide what I would need to get it off and as soon as i pulled it came half way off, so I just grabed a flat head and pried it off the rest of the way. Other one was the same, no damage done and that's when I figured I should make the servo and rx mount stronger.

So, what did it end up costing you delivered?

They have them in stock now, but price is 234 pounds with 17.5% VAT. So you take off the 17.5% and you get a sale price of $199.14 pounds x 1.52 = $303 USD + shipping. Are prices cheaper if you log on?

If I remember, it was not the same boat but had different ESC and/or motor?

            Thank you sir,

            Brian

Thank you for replying with the info.

$270 ish USD ain't bad! When I am ready to order, I will have to send them an email. Unless Steve is planning on ordering in a few for non advertised specials.

The prop is an Octura 1440 cupped and a OSE self locking prop nut 10-32

Hi everyone! long time reader ! first time poster!
Ive finally received my genesis cat in the mail! turned up undamaged and was honestly a lot better quality than what I was expecting.
Will probably spend some of the weekend putting it together
                              Ive got the HK-GT2 radio, 2x 4S 4000 Lipos
speed controller dosent seem to have anything written on it.
Anyone got any tips for setting it up? I plan to keep it fairly stock
I want to run the 4s bats in parallel

would it be a good idea to get the 180 turnigy ESC and run BEC as well? rather than having a seperate battery pack?

things have sure changed since my old boat! which was basically all old tamiya RC car stuff in a boat! not even watercooled hehehe
                              Thanks!!

The motor is 2 pole and the info said to set the timing at 0 and work up but if the motors hot then its not going to get cooler with more timing woud it..
