Not yet, still playing with it but my mrs keeps going mad about the beeping, wish i hadnt of messed with it. Had it running quite nice on a single 3s. Oh well, once i get the 2x 2s and esc it should be pretty quick.

If you want to run the Genesis with 6S, a 1500/1600kV motor will be perfect, and don' t forget the ESC

Well got a new motor mount fabricated. Looking at the boat now with a HUGE 580 in it, kinda looks like overkill. I guess we will see what happens. I'll start at 4s then bump to 5s if i need too. CAN'T WAIT to get this thing in the water. Now just waiting for the expoxy to harden then another coat maybe.

                    Thanks!

Motor look familiar baked? lol... Hopefully she's as good to me as she was for you. I took out the square drive and used a drill bit to take the bushing out of the strut their was 2 of them. Took about all of 10 minutes to do, the coupler you gave me baked was a little to big for this set-up so right not their is a stock aquacraft coupler and a stock 3/16 flex shaft from a ul-1 i had laying around. I will use this for the time being until I get a new shaft and coupler. I ordered a strut bushing from steve and from aeromarine. I'll see which one works best then maybe in a few weeks or next month I will update the coupler and flexshaft, but for testing I'll use what I got. I am going to start with either a x642 or m445 on 4s. Any suggestions on what one will work better? Smaller first I would assume, but who knows. Hey baked is a turnigy 180 going to be enough esc for this motor?

                    Video is A MUST lol!!!!!!!

Ok so I just placed an order for a new flex shaft, a octura short coupler and a new (4-40) servo control rod. Hopefully the bushing I ordered from steve and the drive hardware I just ordered from Kintec arrive very soon.

Looks like my stock esc has given up after only 3 runs, knew it was crap but didnt think it would be that crap. Anyway i know a lot of guys are running a 120 amp esc and thats what i was thinking of using but then i thought maybe pay another £20 and get the 180 amp version, do you think this would be overkill? Still running stock motor.

The 120a should be fine................and the 180 is huge and is fairly heavy. If you go with the turnigy 120a, i would recommend taking the cooling plate off and make sure there is good fet contact.............they are known to have around 30-40% contact.

Get the 180. Not much more $$ and more headroom for bigger props. Weight will not be a factor. Nor will size. It's a 40" cat.

Thats what i was thinking. I want to run it on 3s 2p eventualy if 2s 2p isnt fast enough so maybe the 180 would be a better option.
