All remove anodizing. Aluminum brite is the strongest. Be careful, it will bubble up and will ruin anything it gets on. I got it on ceramic tile on my bar. Wife wasn't happy.
I use good old Lye. Works in under 10 minutes.

Today I recieved my 24v power supply from Joel (rockstar) and some black cooling hose tossed in. Thanks Joel always a pleasure...
I took s ride to my lhs for a few things.
I did grab a traxxas waterproof reciever box, and particularly some flat cf rod to glue down before the motor mount. The small amount in height will make a huge difference in getting a wrench in there if ever needed.
Also I grabbed some larger brass to try for the servo to rudder rod. Usually I use 1/4 brass but I wanted to try larger. Turns out the boot can stretch to fit over 5/16

Too bad the mount wasn't wider . The water entry to the motor jacket should be on the side close to the motor plate with the water exiting at the top end bell side ... So the air pocket escapes .

                      Thanks.
The easiest way to make a nice black stuffing tube is to just use shrink wrap.
Because I have a gap it was easy.

The build is looking awesome, really nice work. What did you end up using as an adhesive to glue everything down? Windsheild adhesive is incredible stuff, I,ve installed a few windshields and used it on big boats. It held a fullsize 12volt marine battery mount in place in a speed boat that ran some big water, still doing the job 10 plus years later. Sikaflex is another great one, used a lot in big boats. I really like how neat you got everything installed, any good tricks for glueing everything in so nice?

                          Thanks.
I haven't glued in the trays or motor yet.
The windshield guy that comes to my shop offered me a tube of the urethane and some primer if I want to try. Stuff is super messy tho.
The other option is black aquarium sealant. I still can't wrap my head around that tho.
When I glued in the servo and flat rod for motor mount, first I sanded some cf rod onto a piece of paper to make dust to color my epoxy.
Then I took a piece of fabric is cut the ends of if with shears repeatedly to get sort of milled cf.
then I just Mix it into my epoxy, tape off areas I don't want it, and try to use only as much as needed.
Spreading glue everywhere def doesn't help hold things in place.

Hey Luck, make sure you tape everything off really good to not get the goop all over that nice build. I use a small trash bag a lot for the hull and just cut the small hatch opening in it and tape it secure with painters tape.

                                Back at it tonight.
For the motor and esc mount I picked up some west 406.
To color it I sanded a scrap piece of cf Rod.
