Your build is coming along pretty good, I am jealous....
I use Castle Greens too, working good. I have ZERO complaints on them, and I am a very picky person! They also have 4mm. I always order them with my Ebay bucks so I feel like I get them for free.... They seem worth the $.
Why are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!

I gotta say...that was the easiest that job has ever been.
The silicone is nice and thick, and holds the trays in place. Unlike epoxy, there's no mixing and fiddling to get the rite viscosity. Just put in caulking gun and pull trigger. Less hassles by far.
I just put some on the trays then stuck them down. Then pulled back out and put a nice bead down everywhere it made contact. Then placed back in.
It's nice because there's no running, the trays stayed where I put them, and you can adjust height simply by how much you put on and how much you push down.
Good stuff

Its definitely the way to go, I'm even thinking on my next build to glue in my motor mounts normally and then overcoat with the windscreen adhesive. That way if a crash is very nasty and the mounts would have let go this stuff will prevent them from flying into the hull. It's just a thought thou.

Yeah I can see that. Like tempered glass. If it breaks, it will still stay together

Ok, so it's about 24 hours since I glued them in.
So far, they really feel stuck big time.
The company says 7 days to full cure.... I'm pretty sure you could strap batteries to them now and go.
The final test will be running it and flipping it a few times, but I'm confident in this stuff now. So easy to do.
