Thanks on that sandpaper advice! I also find the wood sandpaper doesn't really scuff it up enough.
And if you like the pumps, all good. I just can't bring myself to use them knowing there is a chance of ratios not being exact. You should do a test and weigh it once you're done pumping to see how accurate the pumps are. It would be interesting to see. I'm sure the pumps work great for big jobs as a small variations in ratios then are not as critical. As this epoxy system was designed to work on real scale boat repairs and whatnot, mixing large batches at a time, what if you need to mix just 1oz of epoxy for some important connecting fillets for your motor mounts and are slightly off on your ratio without even knowing it... The epoxy either ends up a bit too flexible or too brittle. And a mistake like that could kill a whole build. That's just my thoughts on it. Not trying to say the pumps are junk. Just seems a bit too crude of a method for small batches.
