I had sent the manufacturer of this hull an email today. Told them about who I was and about this build thread. Mentioned there was an interest in cf hulls like this. I have already heard back this evening and I am glad to let yall know about this.....

      Hello DJ:

At least I know the boat went to someone who will complete it and enjoy it, rather than sitting on a shelf for a couple years!

Our hardware was on the transom. This strut combo http://hyperprod.bizhosting.com/nitro_hardware.html, this rudder combo, http://hyperprod.bizhosting.com/3_5_hydro_hardware.html.

We do make Carbon hulls. They take a little longer and need to have a surface finish. The hull you have I painted with Createx-AutoAir water-based paint, yellow pinstripe tape, and clear coated with automotive Urethane. Your hull was actually vacuum-bagged.

We also have a guy in Idaho who is presenting a Gas Hydro build on Youtube. You might want to have a look. He has working chutes, capsule, and is using a Conley V-8 with our Transfer Case and Dual V-Drives.

Always looking to build more hulls. Keep me informed about your build.

      Best regards,

      David Rippe

I bet those guys want to kiss the guy that invented the break away capsule everytime they walk away from those crashes, or at least buy him a beer.

Chris, I hear ya brother. I cant imagine what it must feel like being ejected at over 250mph ! that ejection capsule is called the "Hans device" and it was actually developed by a sportscar racer (Jim Downing). He sure has saved alot of lives. I do believe I've read where it is now mandatory in some classes to have one of these capsules installed ... DJ

DJ, How wide is the opening where the motors go, I'm thinking about twin 4070s so it doesn't torque roll.

Chris, thats a pair of 1515's in there...The only problem I see doing twins is buoyancy, but the fuel (slimmers) do up to .90 in these hulls with a v-drive etc.. so I would think our setups would weigh less, there hulls are FG though....

Something else to keep in mind, be it twin or single motor setup. The AOA of your motor to stuffing tube alignment, is going to be a bit critical since there is only around 2" of room between bottom and top of hull in that area.

Looks like plenty of room for twins and as far as AOA goes I usually do S bends anyway.
