Ha! Nice. Man, those whips look great, D!! They were the inspiration for using the UL-1 cowl on my last three builds. I also love the way the back tapers down on the whip (tapers WAY down on your extended version).
hay Shooter, frame built an going to start placing bottom skin on. day 2 of the 30 day build, LOL
really got about 7 hours in it so far. if u dont mind, I'll Email you some ideas ? she 's a good build.
Great looking design and dedication to builder better all the time. I look forward to seeing how the changes improve things over the last version. Great work!

Are you planning on sharing any pictures of your build? Inquiring minds want to know.
Oh ya, Here we go, the framing was easy. just make sure you run a straight center line on your build table an follow
the line up marks Shooter placed on the frame. Once I got that done , I placed the frame on top of the bottom skin
an traced around the frame to place glue, then set frame on it and placed weights on top. then I put 2 oz fiberglass
down in the center area front to back, with westsystem epoxy. here's some pic'sS7301094.jpgS7301096.jpgS7301098.jpgS7301100.jpgS7301104.jpg
Cool. Thanks for sharing Darryl. Are you going to double up that transom? Did you use the 'dummy' motor mount prior to tacking? Did you use the jig? Thanks!
Shooter I am going to double the transom an add 1/8 " marine ply also. No to the dummy motor mt.
yes with the Jig, thats a good idea. I tack glue in in 6 spots easy to cut away , also on the bottom skin where
it angles up at the main double frame, I scored the skin so it would bend easy to glue up. when or if you try this
score the inside of the skin right in front of the doubler frame , make it a V cut half way.
this may help too, on the transom you have a center mark, cool I also placed marks on each end ( right an left ) sides
the same measurements of the first rear bulkhead, I glued a 1/16" sq stock up right on those marks to glue the inner frame to transom. you may be able to see it in my pics .
