I put it in the pool yesterday to make sure it float right and to check that there were no obvious water leaks. I didn't wipe off the drive line or anything afterwards though. The drive dog corroded itself on to the shaft overnight, so I'll just touch it with a little glue and see how it works. I cant torque it off by hand, even if I hold the prop and motor coupler.

There is nothing more helpful than a group of minds. One of my coworkers gave me a 1/16" (1.5mm) allen key and said "just make it smaller". So off to the grinder I went. So now my dd is corroded to the shaft and the grub screw is in place. That sounds like a win to me.
I used some heavy duty grease for the flex shaft: Valvoline Crimson. And this stuff is red. :D
My timing is set to 15* and I'm ready to run right after work. The only thing that worries me is my nipple repair. The epoxy is kind of soft so it is flexing a bit. I'm going to go ahead an order a new cooling plate, but this will HAVE TO WORK for now.Comment

So I finally made it out to the beach. Unfortunately my Aeromarine coupler gave way. After a relatively difficult disassembly, I've come to the. Occlusion that I do not like this coupler. The brass insert easily deforms. After reassembling the driveline to check everything, I found that I couldn't pull the flex shaft out of the coupler even when it was loose. I spent the extra on the AM coupler because it was supposed to be the best. Now I see why the brass inserts are sold separately. This could just be my lack of experience, but I don't find this to be any sort of rocket science.
Now I have to get the insert off of the shaft, while it's in the hull, so that I may apply grease.Comment

Sorry for the lack of updates. These were from last weekend. It was completely untrimmed and unbalanced. These short videos used the 45mm after the 40mm broke. The esc cut the power in the first video. The prop broke in the second video. I'm not sure if anyone can see these videos though.
Skip to 2:15 for the actual run.
Here is tracking for my cnc props. The final destination is St. Thomas 00803. (I never liked Puerto Rico. Click to see why.)
