After a lot of thought, I came to the conclusion that a 3674 will not fit under the prototype cowl (unless you don't use a water jacket). So with that said, I ordered a GForce 3660 2200kv which actually comes with its own water jacket. The jacket I got is a 60mm long jacket with angled up water exits and it does not fit.

I still do not have everything. Since I am in the islands, I'm having everything shipped to Georgia. When it all gets there, my parents will ship then to me. Other than that, EVERYTHING has been purchased. :D

I lived on St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands till I finished high school. The family moved away when I went to college. I come back down during some of the breaks though...well between here and Tortola (British Virgin Islands).

I hate waiting. The first pic is with a 40mm prop and the second is with a 45mm prop. The Aeromarine coupler is huge but well worth the few extra bucks. When I go to Tortola, I'll cut the flex shaft and grind the new rudder blade. The blade will is too tight to fit on the pivot section.

            The rudder blades are different!

The old one has a broken off nipple. You can see that the lower recess on the new one does not go as far back as the older one. It will be easier for me to grind away the rudder bracket than it would for me to extend the recess.

I just cut the flex shaft. I'll test fit it after work. I'm still working on the rudder parts.

I finally got the magical box with everything in it. I expect to be running tomorrow.

I did run into a slight issue though. The Marine 120A esc has really long cooling nipples. I, trying to get a nice clean setup, decided to cut them shorter so that the ESC can fit side ways. I'm not sure how it happened, but the nipple broke flush on the threads. When I get home, I am going to Use epoxy to reattach it. Since the heat shrink is off, I will solder my external cap wires directly to the cap connections on the board. I do not have any large heat shrink, nor do I know where to even get some here, so I'll just wrap it up with electrical tape for now.

Keep a very close eye on that repair. You don't want any epoxy seeping inside the nipple and plugging it and you also don't want it letting go. Id hate to see any disasters after all that work. Would love to see a vid of it.

I was thinking of putting just enough to get a nice no-excess-glue joint. Then I would put another "layer" to be safe.

I just wish I wasn't locked out of the house right now...got bullets to solder.

Tapatalk isn't working right now so I can't upload any pics.

I repaired the cooling plate. Water bothers me is that the cooling plate is very restrictive. I know that this is not a result of my repair. Before the nipple sheared off, I considered drilling out the nipples, but after seeing the small threaded insert, this probably wouldn't be a good idea.

My 40W soldering iron isn't up to the task of soldering the 5.5mm bullets. It couldn't even melt the solder when in contact with a bullet. I hope we can find a soldering iron at work tomorrow (today) before lunch time.

The only other thing I need to attend to is the control linkage. I think I will just use wire from a hanger for now.

I AM IN DESPERATE NEED OF...SOMETHING.

It would appear as though the included Octura drive dog screwed me over. I have no idea where to get an Allen key small enough for the grub screw. It is smaller than a 1.5mm. That is all that is holding me up from maiden.

Is there anywhere you that you can pick up a set of keys? I have had screws strip out and if enough of the screw is above the dog I have used a Dremel cutoff wheel and put a slot on the screw and used a small screwdriver. Not a great solution but it works in a pinch.

I asked around and no one had any idea. I forgot about the slot method. Sadly, I do not have my dremel nor do I know anyone here who has one. I did have another idea. The Octura dd is aluminum. My larger grub screws are stainless steel. I'm wondering if I can drill the hole out for a larger grub screw, and force the larger one to self thread.

I really need to get some black paint for the cowl. The masking tape is starting to really bug me. I do not like the all red look either.
