Oh,,,, on a consivertaive side I would say at least $1300, maybe more like $1500. Motors and speedos were right around 1k. Hopefully the wife doesn't read any of this!!! :)

Yea I hear ya, I complain about the wife buying stuff we don't need, if she ever saw the real $ in the boat suff,,,,,,,,,,,,, she still thinks that many of my boats are old ones, ( its amazing how easy it is to hide same color boats from her ,lol!!!).

Well I never got the parts. The mail said delivery yesterday but no delivery. I have an idea that its still in mailmans car, not the usual guy. And I also ordered some from rocket city, even paid $30 for shipping and they haven't even mailed anything yet (ordered on last Sunday)

wow that sucks, brian at rocket city is usually great with shipping. I wonder what this boat will record on gps. I would think Kintec has these drives as well and as hes in PA wouldn't take long. Anyway hope to see her again soon on the water the hopping seen in one video is minimal as you know the amount of power this thing has should make 100mph+ quite easily

Thank you! A few more kinks to work out and some more testing on 9s then hopefully should be able to pull the trigger on 10s. I will keep trying to put up the progress on video. And again it's from all the folks here that I have learned and been able to put something like this together. So hats off to you all.

Update from Brian at rocket city racing, he was kind enough and emails me the parts were on back order, so I just wanted to make it clear as I'm not upset and didn't want to give any bad rap to the kind folks there as the above statements may have reflected. And do like the stuff they have and support them.
And another order has arrived (at least shipping says so). So I should be back in water soon. But now we have been getting some rain!!! Aggggg this weather so far has been up and down!! Was really windy this weekend so speed passes were off the docket but I did get the shocker out and running, good and about 70 in very rough seas. Did have to retrieve several airborne misguided attempts at the famous water long jump!!!

Cooper I am about to start building my own carbon fiber cat.I plan on doing a lot of the modifications that you have done to your bow and after reading this whole thread I have learned many valuable lessons that I hope to be able to use on my boat. As many as you know I am new to the boat in community they have been involved in RC cars planes and many other RC stuff from a young age. I am 33 now and I plan on building many boats in my time as I have caught the bug and it won't let go. I will post all of my build on OSE.I look forward to getting many valuable tips and lessons from everyone here on the form thank you for taking your time and showing how to build such a nice boat

Love that boat but I do think the fantasim hull handles better. No comparison between my two, but I think the extra weight in the fantasim really helps the handeling. Last run with the shocker she came back in with about two cups water, dont know if a fitting was leaking or if the cracked hatch is letting that much water in. But she didn't flip so some investigation in the works.

I think I fixed the cooling line problem. I bent up some tubing and soldered together. Then using fuel line hose clamps and kink resistant tubing to clamp all connections.
