It's from kintec, just the cheaper version of similar rudder system.

Thank you, I haven't got her up to speed yet, only got her to 95mph on 9s with stock b/s props. Hopefully this weekend ill be on 10s and get some modded props. Everything around here looks like this weekend will be excellent for running. Just hope I get some flat water. I really want to get her over 115 with stock props then will start playing and pushing the limits. Surprisingly stable boat, at 95 she was just starting to look a little loose so some tweaking and right conditions I think I finally have her in the area of speed (for me). :)

This is the one video I have, second run and stingers were too deep, I've since adjusted them. This boat likes big props 47- and up. Stingers are about 2mm up and cg is around 33-36%. I have only run 9s with the 4s and 5s configuration per side. At that time the 4s were in front. 10s will be 2 5s or I can change some more weight around with 6s and 4s. The 6s batteries just fit.
when you say you moved the stingers 2mm, do you mean you actually moved them up at the mount or you angled them up ??

Angled them, gave them some positive angle up. If the hull was laying flat on a table the prop end of the stingers would have been raised two mm up. Some take a reading from centerline of prop, some just measure distance from table to bottom of stinger (out at the prop) , that's what I do. It's not right or wrong just always measure from same locations when adjusting. Seems this hull has a very pitucular location it likes to have the props (attitude of the hull while on plane). By changing from 50 to 52mm props I had to adjust stingers. Starting to find the sweet spot on this boat. Every build is different and this is a heavy build so I think that adds a lot of her stability.

Oh I see , that's a good way to always be consistent with your adjustments , good idea ... the reason for my question is that im building a twin stinger boat right now and im trying to figure out where to mount them , once I make the holes in the back im kinda stuck with them unless I want to plug them up and drill new holes ... I wish there was a way to adjust the stinger up and down and also angle ... whats your technique for finding mounting height on initial stinger mounting ?? thanks for help

Measure , mark, measure again, measure again, drill one hole, install bolt, mark other holes. Using the part as a template helps after initial hole is drilled. Put some painters tape down, it helps. I use a dremmel with that sharp pointy bit to drill through fiberglass and gel coat. If the hole needs to be enlarged or skewed one direction I use a small round jewlers file or sandpaper rolled up. Takes a bit of time effort but it reduces the chance of chipping the gelcoat. As far as the location of mounting the stingers, I like to keep them slightly above the hull bottom. Just as long as they aren't flush with bottom. This helps the water exit off a clean square edge. Remember clean sharp square edges on things below waterline and nice soft round edges above waterline. If the ride pad on your boat is flat like mine you really have a choice as where to mount them, middle or offset to one side. If it is more of a v bottom ride pad like the gennissis hull, I try and get them as low as possible. Basically you want them to be as low as possible, so the prop will have a good chance to be axially parallel with hull bottom. Will allow more changes or fine tuning for ride attitude. Good luck and post a build. :)

Funny you say that , my hull is a genesis : ) that's why im doing my home work and trying to get this right the first time , so shoot for the lowest point , on my boat its that lower corner , the stingers I have don't let me really get in there close , I might have to machine me some parts and maybe modify the stingers I have so I can get them real tight up towards that corner ?? what do you think ??

You just want to get them as low as possible, but still not having them flush with bottom. Leaving them up 1/16" or 1/8". And also keeping in mind access to the bolts from inside too. It really sucks when you get something fitted just where you want, drill holes only to realize you can't get a wrench/driver to them . Lol, I've done it enough to remember not to do it again. :). Look around on this forum, that hull has a lot of builds, a lot of twin builds.

Hit 103mph, 5018 cnc props. Made several passes and temps ok, little warm but acceptable. The water was starting to get a little ripple and one pass she started porpoiseing. Thought everything was ok until I went to pull flexes. I think the amount of power going into these drives is stressing these types of stingers. Next fast boat will have the click drives. I should have went with them in the first place but $300+ for them vs. $30 was my thought. Speed costs money and I want to go fast,,, lol. But,, the wallet also has an opinion. A couple more runs on these to get her tweaked and then I'll step up with some different props.
