Got another place to run Mason? That pond is gonna be too small.Mind you,I hate going clear across town just to have a coupler spin and I can't get it tight enough.

            Found the real problem!!

The drive dog on the flex came loose and was just spinning around the flex, looks like just a set screw!

Not to sound like a pansy or anything, but touching the prop while batteries are plugged in is a bad idea if that's what you were doing there. I made that mistake once and only once. Trust me when I tell you it made a mess of my thumb and I'm great full I didn't loose it. There was much blood and pain tho....

You should put a flat spot on the shaft where the set screw sits.

And don't play with the prop while you are plugged in.

So on the drive dog, should I remove it and then file a small flat spot or what

I always file a flat spot on them Mason.Just make a sharp edge at the front of the flat. This way the dog won't keep sliding up the shaft when tightening the prop. The set screw will lock against that sharp edge. Get it.

                            Hey mate,

I was wondering, do you know how many watt your motor puts out?
Mine only does 1000 watt, but I've found a 1700 watt motor (leopard brand @3660 size)

ESC and Prop arrived today too :) Should be fun!!

                            Cheers
                            Martin

Well I'm not really sure, maybe Shawn can help you out. I'm running 2700kv on 180a on 3s with a prop pitch of about 1.33

Accordingly, I can pull up to 1998 watts in my set up. That is of the motor pulls 180a on a 3s... Sounds unlikely to me.
