Yes Tristan running very nicely and some good camera work. Hope to have mine running as good soon.
All my new electronics finally came an I'm just waiting on right water jacket. I'm learning you live and die with your mailman. That gator bite proved costly with my new phone and all new electronics. If you look close in top of cowl you can still see hole from his tooth. Did the best I could with it. Got some fresh coats of clear on it. Soon I'll have it water again I hope....

Thats the stock motor (2075kv same motor as smash shark) and esc, one piece drive line and TFL 440 prop (sharpened, thinned and balanced by me) it arrived with from TFL.
      4s 5000mah 65c nannotechs.
Upgrades and more videos to come soon!!

This is the same boat on the same day, running against my R2 rigger, both on 4s, both 440 props. mine 2000kv and I would appear to have been racinging a different course. lol

Question for you guys. I've yet to own any speedmaster hardware, so I was hoping I could use it on my Popeye build. With that small transom pad do you guys think a sport 20 strut and a 1" straight rudder would fit? I would think It would fit, but I'm just a little worried it won't...

The pad on transom measures 3.25 in x 1.5 in Slo. That looks like a long rudder. Mine is only 4" and that one is 6 1/4". Strut looks the same about as mine.

Thank you for the measurement J! I think it will all work, hopefully. I plan on cutting the rudder down to like 4 1/2-5"... For the skid fin I am having Dick Tyndall make me one of his sport 20's.

Yea interested to see how yours turns out. My hull has crashed into my real boat,my dock and been chomped by a gator..... So may just buy the CF hull and transfer all my stuff into it.
I'd like a new turn fin. Does Dick make those for sale for anyone? Thx Jeff

That stuff will work fine on the Popeye, get the 1 1/8" set back rudder and shorten it up and you'll be set.

Yep, that's the set back I chose. Thanks!

Stuffing tube almost right against hull. What prop are you running when strut is set that high? Thx Jeff

Got it pretty much redone after the sinking. Just waiting on the water jacket to come for the new Castle 1515. Everything is brand new. Made a new tray for Rx and servo. Using a MR200 now. Was told several diff ways to lay antenna wires in hull. In the end mounted two antenna mounts and ran both wires outside the hull. Body work from gator chomp came out pretty good I think. Can't wait to get it back in water. Always waiting on the mailman....

Looks good. I thought it was the 1512 jacket? So what is the correct jacket when using a ring in the rear?

God Slo I know. Found out the 1515 jacket will actually fit but it's vey snug. I ordered the 1512 just to be safe. But the one I ordered was for a smooth can and I have the ribbed can so it would not fit. Scott has one and I'm going down in morning to watch races and pick it up from him. I'm also buying a Genisis hull from him and doing a twin build with it. So can't wait to get started on that too. Just want to get my Popeye back on water. Last few runs before the sinking I was getting 53-55 mph on my GPS.
