January meet at the ENcore RV Park in Bradenton at 10a.m. on the 24th. This is in place of our regular run at Akerman park.

Our fun run at the Encore RV Park on Sun. Jan 24th is cancelled! They had a massive fish kill on their lake and are hauling out thousands of dead fish daily.

Rick is going to drive down to Akermann either tomorrow night or Friday morning to be sure it isn't full of carcasses as well!

Stand by for further news regarding this weekend.

Bad news! Sandy checked it out and Akermann also has about 1,000 dead HUGE fish in it. No sense in risking hitting one of them and destroying a boat!

Mike Harvey has offered his place in Land O Lakes for this Sunday. It is where we used to run before going to Akermann. Please respond so Mike will get an idea of the attendance.

I, for one, will be there!

yup a lot dead plecostomas cats, guess they sat on the bottom with the cold stuff because I did not see too many dead talapia. Poor cats, relatively peaceful fish unless you step on one.
These cats average 18-24 inches out there...and they float just below the surface. Not cool..

So far, the RV park has removed 7,000 lbs of dead fish from the 18 acre lake! And more are surfacing all the tim! Dang!
